Kensington Locking Kit for SD7000
Product Overview
The Kensington Locking Kit for SD7000 is presented. It includes the MicroSaver® 2.0 Keyed Lock, which features a cable and a lock head, and a separate Dock Lock. A warranty card is also shown. A call to action prompts users to register their product at kensington.com/register.
Installation Guide
Step 1: Prepare the Lock
To prepare the MicroSaver lock, insert a coin into the slot on the lock head and turn it to activate the locking mechanism. This is shown with a close-up view of a coin being inserted. ⚠️ Note: This step is also shown as step 1 for unlocking.
Step 2: Insert Lock Head
Insert the lock head of the MicroSaver cable into the security slot on the docking station. This is depicted as an arrow pointing the lock head towards the slot.
Step 3: Secure the Lock
Turn the lock head 90 degrees clockwise to engage the lock. The key can then be removed. This is shown with a 90° indicator and a turning arrow.
Step 4: Anchor the Cable
The MicroSaver cable is shown near the docking station's security slot. The cable itself has a loop designed to be wrapped around a sturdy object, such as a desk leg.
Step 5: Attach Cable Anchor
Secure the cable by inserting the lock head into the cable anchor point on the docking station. This action locks the cable in place, preventing the device from being detached.
Step 6: Final Secured State
The final setup shows the docking station secured to a desk. The MicroSaver cable is looped around a desk leg, and the lock head is engaged, preventing the device from being moved. A checkmark ✔️ indicates successful installation.
How to Unlock
To unlock the device, follow these steps:
- Insert the key into the lock head.
- Turn the key 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
- Pull the lock head out of the security slot.
- Detach the cable from the anchor point.
