Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using this tool, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment. Read all instructions before using this product!
- Non-professionals are prohibited from operating this device. Familiarize yourself with the product's performance and operating instructions.
- Avoid electrical shock. Non-professionals are forbidden to open the shell. Internal components carry high voltage and pose a danger.
- Keep the work area clean. Cluttered areas can lead to injuries.
- Observe work area conditions. Do not operate in damp or wet locations. Protect from rain. Ensure the work area is well-lighted.
- Keep children away. Children must not be allowed in the work area and should not handle machines, tools, or extension cords.
- Store idle equipment properly. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to prevent rust. Always secure tools out of reach of children.
- Maintain tools with care. Periodically inspect tool cords. If damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician.
- Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. This tool is designed for specific applications; do not modify it or use it for unintended purposes.
- Stay alert. Pay attention to your work and use common sense. Do not operate any tool when tired.
- Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, carefully check any part that appears damaged to ensure it will operate properly. Damaged parts should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician. Do not use the tool if any switch does not turn On and Off correctly.
- Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Using other parts will void the warranty.
- Do not operate the tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Check prescription labels to determine if judgment or reflexes are impaired. If in doubt, do not operate the tool.
- Use the proper size and type of extension cord. If an extension cord is required, it must be of the correct size and type to supply adequate current to the tool without overheating. An incorrect extension cord could melt, catch fire, or damage the tool. This tool requires an extension cord rated for 0 to 10 amps (up to 50 feet) with a wire size of 0.75mm². Longer cords require larger wire. For outdoor use, use an extension cord rated for outdoor use (indicated by "W" on the jacket).
- Maintenance. For safety, service and maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified technician.
Note: Tool performance may vary depending on local line voltage fluctuations. Extension cord usage can also affect performance.
Functions and Precautions
The machine offers functions for temperature adjustment, light adjustment, speed adjustment, and voltage adjustment.
- Temperature adjustment: Suitable for resistance heating wire, heating tubes, electric furnaces, etc.
- Light adjustment: Compatible with dimming incandescent lamps, dimmable LED lamps, HV halogen lamps, and Tungsten filament bulbs.
- Speed adjustment: Applicable to fans, exhaust fans, electric drills, angle grinders, etc.
- Voltage adjustment: Allows reduction of mains voltage and modification of load power.
Warning: This device is not compatible with soft/slow start voltage regulators, inductive transformers, ordinary LED lights, or standard household appliances.
Operation
- Before use, read and understand all instructions and safety warnings provided in the manufacturer's manual for the router being used. Ensure the router's Power Switch is in the "OFF" position and the Speed Knob is turned to the "0%" position. Plug the router's electrical cord into the power outlet. Plug the appliance's power cord into the router's outlet socket.
- Insert the Speed Control Plug into an electrical outlet or extension cord (refer to Safety Precautions for extension cord usage).
- To operate at variable speed, turn the power switch to the "ON" position and adjust the Speed Knob to Low, Medium, or High speed.
- The output voltmeter displays the corresponding voltage value (requires a connected load for accurate voltage regulation). Higher voltage results in faster speed; lower voltage results in slower speed.
- For full speed operation, turn the Speed Knob to the "100%" position. For stopping, turn the Speed Knob to the "0%" position.
- After use, turn off the router's power switch and then press the main power switch to the "OFF" position.
- Unplug the Speed Control from the electrical outlet.
Maintenance
- Store the Dial Router Speed Control in a clean and dry location.
- The machine may become slightly warm during operation; place it in a ventilated and dry area for use.
- The power switch includes overload protection. If the power switches off due to overload and is turned back on after some time, it indicates that the overheating protection has tripped. Reduce the connected load.
Fitting and Electrical Connection
DANGER!!! Touching live parts can cause electrical shock, which can be fatal. Before performing any work on the device or load, disconnect all corresponding circuit breakers. Ensure live parts in the working environment are covered.
Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations. It is understood that the operator must supply common sense and caution, as these factors cannot be built into the product.
