WEB PAGE
Web page features
A web server is embedded in the machine, allowing access via a network to configure various machine settings from your computer. This eliminates the need to be physically at the machine. You can easily enter user names and other text, and configure advanced settings not available on the machine itself. For detailed information, see the User's Manual.
Accessing the web page
This section explains how to access the machine's web page.
Supported web browsers:
- Internet Explorer: 10 or higher (Windows®)
- Firefox (Windows®), Safari (Mac OS®), Chrome (Windows®): Latest version or immediately previous major release
Accessing the web page steps:
- Open your web browser on your computer.
- Enter the machine's IP address in the web browser's address bar.
- Ask the machine's administrator for the IP address.
- You can check the machine's IP address on the machine itself (see "How to check the IP address of the machine" on page 4).
- Entering a password:
- If an item requires administrator rights, a password entry screen will appear. Select a user with administrator rights and enter their password.
- If user authentication is not enabled, you can log in as "Administrator" using the administrator password.
- After logging in with administrator rights, subsequent administrator-protected items will not require a password until you log out.
How to check the IP address of the machine
- Tap the [Settings] key.
- Tap [Status] → [Network Status] from the menu.
- Scroll down and check the "IPv4 Address" in the IPv4 Settings of TCP/IP.
- Start the Web browser on your PC and enter the machine's IP address.
