Introduction
This document describes how to deploy FortiMail-VM pay-as-you-go (PAYG) instance on AWS. This document includes the following topics:
· Locating and Applying the FortiMail Image · Configuring the Storage · Launching the Instance · Checking Subscription on AWS Marketplace · Logging on to FortiMail
Locating and Deploying the FortiMail Image
1. Log on to your AWS account to create an instance and search for FortiMail in Application and OS Images (Amazon Machine Image).
2. Under Community AMIs, locate the required PAYG instance. Select the image to be added for the instance.
5
3. Select the instance type of your choice from the supported types. Default network settings will be applied to the instance. You can edit the VPC, Subnet, and security group. Default Inbound and outbound security group rules will also be applied to the PAYG instance. Take note of the instance IP address and instance ID. You'll use them later to log on to the FortiMail-VM.
6
Configuring the Storage
Now you need to configure the storage space for the new instance.
Launching the Instance
After configuring the storage, click Launch instance.
Checking Subscription on AWS Marketplace
Go to the AWS marketplace and check your subscription.
7
Logging on to FortiMail
Now you can log on to FortiMail, using the IP address of the instance when you created it. The default password is the instance ID. URL: https://<fortimail_instance_ip>/admin User name: admin Password: <instanace_id>
