Mount* and Connect your Appliance
Mount the antennas (for wireless models only)
Connect the provided antennas to the connectors on the back of your appliance and align them in a vertical position.
Connect the ports to the internal and external networks
Connect the port 1/LAN via a switch to the internal network. For this purpose, use the RJ45 Ethernet cable provided. Note that your Administration PC must also be connected to this network. Connect Port 2/WAN to the external network. The connection to the WAN depends on the type of Internet access.

Power Up
Connect the appliance to the power supply using the power cable(s). Turn the appliance on. The power switch is on the back of the appliance next to the power connection. The Status LED will turn to solid green and the unit will boot. This process should take a few minutes.
Airflow Requirements for XGS 108(w)
Please allow a minimum clearance of 0.5 RU/22mm space on top side of the appliance to avoid any component damage.

Setup your Appliance
Start network configuration
Navigate your browser to the IP address of the appliance's port that your PC is connected to: https://172.16.16.16:4444 Login with the default details: Username: admin Password: admin
Connect to network
Select `Click to begin' on the `Welcome' screen. Change the interface IP addresses, default gateway, DNS settings and date/time zone to match your local network settings.
Register the appliance
Complete the registration of your appliance on the upcoming registration screen.
Synchronize license
Click `Initiate License Synchronization' to get the license information from Sophos onto the appliance. After synchronization, you will see a screen with the message, "Synchronization with server was successful." Your appliance is now initialized and ready for use.

Appliance montieren* und verbinden
Antennen montieren (nur bei WirelessModellen)
Stecken Sie die mitgelieferten Antennen in die entsprechenden Anschlüsse auf der Rückseite Ihrer Appliance ein und bringen Sie sie in eine vertikale Position.
Ports mit den internen und externen Netzwerken verbinden
Verbinden Sie Port 1/LAN über einen Switch mit dem internen Netzwerk. Verwenden Sie hierzu das beiliegende RJ45 Ethernet-Kabel. Beachten Sie, dass Ihr Administrations-PC ebenfalls mit diesem Netzwerk verbunden sein muss.
Verbinden Sie Port 2/WAN mit dem externen Netzwerk. Die Verbindung zum WAN hängt von der Art des Internetzugangs ab.

Einschalten
Schließen Sie die Appliance mit dem beiliegenden Netzkabel an eine Netzsteckdose an. Schalten Sie die Appliance ein. Der Netzschalter befindet sich auf der Rückseite der Appliance neben dem Netzanschluss. Die Status-LED leuchtet grün und das Gerät startet. Dieser Vorgang kann einige Minuten dauern.
Luftstromanforderungen für die XGS 108(W)
Achten Sie auf einen Mindestabstand von 0,5 HE/22 mm auf der Oberseite des Geräts, um Schäden an Komponenten zu vermeiden.

Netzwerkkonfiguration vornehmen
Navigieren Sie in Ihrem Browser zur IP-Adresse des Ports der Appliance ein, mit dem Ihr PC verbunden ist: https://172.16.16.16:4444 Melden Sie sich mit den Standarddaten an: Benutzername: admin Kennwort: admin
Mit Netzwerk verbinden
Wählen Sie auf dem ,,Willkommen"-Bildschirm die Option ,,Klicken zum Beginnen". Ändern Sie die Schnittstellen-IP-Adressen, das Standard-Gateway, die DNS-Einstellungen und das Datum/die Zeitzone entsprechend Ihren lokalen Netzwerkeinstellungen.
Appliance registrieren
Schließen Sie die Registrierung der Appliance auf dem nächsten Registrierungsbildschirm ab.
Lizenz synchronisieren
Klicken Sie auf ,,Lizenzsynchronisierung starten", um Lizenzinformationen von Sophos auf die Appliance abzurufen. Nach der Synchronisierung wird ein Bildschirm mit der Meldung ,,Synchronisierung mit Server war erfolgreich" angezeigt. Die Appliance ist jetzt initialisiert und einsatzbereit.

Fixez les antennes fournies aux connecteurs situés à l'arrière de l'appliance en position verticale.
Connecter les ports aux réseaux internes et externes
Connectez le port 1/LAN au réseau interne via un commutateur. Utilisez le câble Ethernet RJ45 fourni à cet effet. Remarque : votre ordinateur d'administration doit être connecté au même réseau.
Connectez le port Port 2/WAN au réseau externe. La qualité de connexion au WAN dépendra de votre type d'accès Internet.

Mettre sous tension
Branchez l'appliance sur le secteur à l'aide du ou des câbles d'alimentation. Mettez l'appliance en marche. L'interrupteur est situé à l'arrière de l'appliance, à côté du connecteur d'alimentation. Le voyant d'état passe au vert et l'appliance démarre. L'opération devrait prendre quelques minutes.

Commencer la configuration du réseau

Se connecter au réseau
Sélectionnez « Cliquez pour commencer » sur l'écran « Bienvenue ». Modifiez les adresses IP de l'interface, la passerelle par défaut, les paramètres DNS et le fuseau horaire pour qu'ils correspondent aux paramètres de votre réseau local.
Enregistrer l'appliance
Terminez l'enregistrement de votre appliance sur l'écran d'inscription à venir.
Synchroniser la licence
Cliquez sur « Démarrer la synchronisation de licence » pour télécharger vos détails de licence sur l'appliance. Après la synchronisation, vous verrez s'afficher le message « La synchronisation avec le serveur a réussi ». Votre appliance est maintenant initialisée et prête à l'emploi.

Montar as antenas (apenas para modelos sem fio)
Conecte as antenas fornecidas com o dispositivo aos conectores localizados na parte traseira de seu dispositivo e alinhe-as na posição vertical.
Conectar as portas às redes internas e externas
Conecte a Porta 1/LAN à rede interna através de um switch. Para esta finalidade, use o cabo Ethernet RJ45 fornecido com o produto. Observe que o seu PC de administração também deve estar conectado a essa rede.
Conecte a Porta 2/WAN à rede externa. A conexão com a WAN depende do tipo de acesso à internet.

Alimentação
Conecte o dispositivo à fonte de alimentação usando o(s) cabo(s) de alimentação. Ligue o dispositivo. O interruptor elétrico encontra-se na parte traseira do dispositivo, próximo à conexão elétrica. O LED de status ficará aceso em verde e a unidade será inicializada. Este processo levará alguns minutos.

Instalar o seu dispositivo
Iniciar a configuração da rede
No seu navegador, insira o endereço IP da porta do dispositivo à qual o seu PC está conectado: https://172.16.16.16:4444 Faça login com os detalhes default: Nome de usuário: admin Senha: admin
Conectar-se à rede
Selecione `Clique para começar' na tela `Bem-vindo'. Altere os endereços de IP da interface, default de gateway, ajustes de DNS e data/fuso horário para corresponder aos ajustes da rede local.
Registrar o dispositivo
Preencha o registro do seu dispositivo na tela de registro que aparece.
Sincronizar Licenças
Clique em `Iniciar sincronização de licença' para obter informações da licença da Sophos e passá-las para o dispositivo. Após a sincronização, será exibida uma tela com a mensagem "A sincronização com o servidor foi bemsucedida". Seu dispositivo está inicializado e pronto para uso.
