Characteristics
- Installation in 4+n (5 wires audio) systems, in systems with external door units only (no systems: intercom, intercom with door unit or with one-wire concierge switchboard Mod. 604), in 1+n (2 wires) systems with any kind of push button panel.
- Possibility of traditional call on buzzer or electronic call on handset loudspeaker.
- Electronic call adjustment or disabling by a slide switch with three positions: maximum volume, minimum volume and call disabling.
- Possibility of adjusting incoming (handset loudspeaker) and outgoing (handset microphone) speech volume.
Installation
This section outlines the general installation process. Specific wiring and system identification are detailed in subsequent sections.
Installation Steps:
Diagram 1: Shows how to attach the base plate to the wall. It indicates mounting holes and screw types (e.g., M3.5 x 30 mm) and wall plug size (e.g., Ø 5 mm). The recommended installation height is between 1.10m and 1.30m from the floor, with a maximum height of 1.50m.
Diagram 2: Illustrates connecting the wires to the internal unit terminals and then attaching the handset to the base plate. A screwdriver is shown for securing the unit.
Diagram 3: Depicts the process of passing the cable through the wall and mounting the unit. It shows the unit being fixed to the wall plate.
Diagram 4: Shows the final step of attaching the handset to the mounted unit.
Important Note: It is not possible to install door phones programmed for electronic ringer in systems with buzzer and vice versa. Refer to later pages for programming.

Connect wires according to the equivalence table and noted information.
Programming
The jumpers (JP1, JP2, JP3, JP4, JP5) and the JPA jumper are used for system configuration and call type selection.
4+n Systems (Default Configuration)
Set jumpers JP1-JP5 to position "5" (standard configuration). For traditional audio (carbon microphone), leave MIC and SPK trimmers at default. For electronic speech (micro-electret), rotate SPK trimmer clockwise.
1+n Systems
Set jumpers JP1-JP5 to position "2". Rotate SPK trimmer fully clockwise. Rotate MIC trimmer to about the central position.
Call Type Selection:
- Call by Buzzer (Default): Position JPA to "R".
- Electronic Call (Loudspeaker): Position JPA to "E".
Note: Jumper JPC must always be on position "+".
Adjustments and Regulations
Call Volume: Adjustable only for door phones programmed for electronic call, using a 3-position switch (MAX, MIN, MUTE).
Conversation Level: Adjust using the MIC and SPK potentiometers on the apartment station. Do not alter the push-button panel's MIC/SPK adjustments, as this can cause loss of settings on other system stations.
Failures and Solutions

Wiring Indications and Compatibility
The manufacturer is not responsible for malfunctions if the door phone is installed with a non-Urmet external unit.
