Connecting the dLAN 200 AVplus
To connect your dLAN 200 AVplus to a computer or integrate it into a network:
- Connect the dLAN 200 AVplus to your computer or another network device using the provided network cable.
- Plug the dLAN 200 AVplus into a wall socket.
- Connect additional network devices via a power strip to the integrated socket of the dLAN 200 AVplus.

Security
Network Encryption
To protect your privacy in the dLAN 200 AV network, data transmission over the power grid is secured. You can encrypt your data using the encryption button or the dLAN configuration software.
Encryption via Push Button
For dLAN 200 AV networks where all connected dLAN 200 AV devices are equipped with an encryption button, individual data encryption is simple via a button press. Press the button on the device to secure your dLAN 200 AV network with a random password.
Encryption via dLAN Configuration Software
If your network includes devices with and without an encryption button, encryption must be performed using the dLAN configuration software. Ensure you have installed the devolo software. The dLAN Configuration Assistant can be launched from the Start menu under All Programs > devolo.
Before starting, note the Security-IDs of your existing dLAN adapters, found on the label of each device. Connect all dLAN adapters to your power network and computer.
The assistant will help you search for dLAN adapters, set a network password, and add new adapters to your network.
Software Installation
For Windows
The installation wizard on the software dLAN directory allows you to install the following software components for adapter operation under Windows:
- Devolo dLAN Configuration Assistant: For individual network encryption.
- Devolo Informer: Finds dLAN adapters in the dLAN network and displays device information.
Insert the provided CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive. If Autoplay is enabled, the installation will start automatically. Otherwise, navigate to the drive using Windows Explorer and start the installation manually.
You can choose between a 'Standard Installation' or a 'Custom Installation'. A complete installation is recommended for optimal device functionality.
For Mac OS X
The dLAN configuration software can be found in the 'software mac' directory.
For Linux
The dLAN configuration software can be found in the 'software linux' directory.

General Warranty Conditions
Devolo AG provides a warranty for its products. The warranty period for this Devolo product is three years from the date of delivery by the Devolo dealer. The warranty covers manufacturing and/or material defects and includes free replacement or repair of defective parts at Devolo's discretion. Manuals and included software are excluded from the warranty.
Claims must be reported promptly, within seven days of discovering a defect. Transport costs for warranty claims are the responsibility of the purchaser. A copy of the original invoice must be presented for warranty claims.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper handling, accidents, environmental factors, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow operating instructions. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
