Product Overview
The feeder consists of the following parts:

Assembly
Step 1: Power Connection
- Insert the 5V power adapter into the bottom of the feeder base.
- Install 3 D-cell batteries in the bottom of the feeder for backup power.
- Connect to your home power supply.
- Indicator Light: A blue blinking indicator light signifies that the device is waiting for network connection.
Step 2: Install Portion Dispensing Device
- Install the Portion Dispensing Device so that the pet food input port faces the back of the product.
Step 3: Install Food Tank
- Attach as shown in the diagram.
- Confirm that the opening at the bottom of the food tank aligns with the opening at the base of the feeder, then turn clockwise to lock.
Step 4: Install Feeder Base
- Place the stainless steel bowl on the tray.
- Insert the tray into the base of the feeder.
Step 5: Refill Food and Close Lid
- Insert dry food. Do not use wet or canned food. Recommended food size: 5-15mm (0.19-0.59 inches).
- Close the lid. Refer to the image for instructions on how to open the feeder lid.
Step 6: Install Film Hook
- Hold the film hook against the wall and mark the hole positions with a pen. Ensure the hook is 8-9.5cm (3.15-3.75 inches) from the ground.
- Drill holes with an impact drill. Use a 1/4" (6mm) diameter drill bit.
- Hammer anchors into the holes and make them flush with the wall.
- Tighten screws to secure the hook.
- Align the feeder's rear mounting holes with the hook and slide it on.
- Installation is complete.
TF Card Installation
- Remove the portion dispensing device from the feeder base.
- Remove the protective cover.
- Insert the TF card into the PCB slot. Note: Only TF cards formatted with FAT32 are supported (up to 128GB).
- Attach the protective cover.
Button Description
The feeder has the following buttons:
- 1. Recording Button: Press for 3 seconds until a beep is heard. Approach the feeder and release the button within approximately 10 seconds to record. Press and hold to continue recording.
- 2. WiFi Reset Button: Press for 5 seconds until a beep is heard. Release the button and wait for the indicator light to blink blue.
- 3. Manual Feeding Button: Short press to dispense one portion (approx. 10g). Long press to dispense food continuously.
- 4. Indicator Light: Indicates connection status and battery level.
Recording Confirmation and Deletion
- Confirmation: Press the button to play back the recorded sound.
- Deletion: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until a beep is heard, then release the button immediately.

Memo: If the blue light starts blinking, complete the connection between the smartphone and the device within 15 minutes, otherwise the blue light will turn off. To re-establish the blue blinking state, reconnect the power or press and hold the WiFi reset button for 5 seconds.

Scan the QR code or search for the "Smart Life" app in your device's app store to download and install it.
Sign Up and Login
Open the app. If you don't have an account, please register. If you already have an account, log in directly.
Adding Feeder to App
Step 1: Enable Smartphone Permissions
Caution: Before adding the device to the app, ensure the feeder's indicator light is blinking blue, and your smartphone's Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS are turned on. Connection can only be established when plugged into power; it cannot be done using battery power.
Step 2: Prepare Feeder for Network Connection
- Turn on the feeder's power.
- Ensure the feeder's indicator light is blinking blue.
- Open the "Smart Life" app, tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner to add a device, and follow the app's instructions.
Connection Methods
Method 1: Bluetooth Connection
- In the app, tap '+' to add a device.
- Select "Smart Video Feeder".
- Enter your Wi-Fi information (SSID and password).
Method 2: Connect by Scanning QR Code with Camera
- In the app, tap '+' to add a device.
- Select "Small Home Appliances" and then "Pet Feeder With Camera (2.4GHz&5GHz)".
- Scan the QR code displayed on your smartphone with the feeder's camera. Maintain a distance of 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) between the QR code and the camera. Adjust the distance or move the QR code back and forth for better recognition.
Method 3: WiFi Mode Connection
- Reset the device (press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the indicator light turns on).
- Connect your smartphone to the feeder's Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., "SmartLife-XXXX" or "SL-XXXX").
- Enter your home Wi-Fi password in the app.
- Confirm the indicator light status (slow blinking is expected).
App Features Introduction
The "Smart Life" app provides various functions:
- Call Mode Change: Switch between different communication modes.
- Settings: Shared control, IPC PC client access.
- Video Playback: Play past video footage using a TF card or cloud storage.
- Screenshot: Capture the current screen and save it to the gallery.
- Private Mode: Set the camera to sleep mode.
- Video Recording: Record video clips.
- Audio: Supports one-way and two-way communication.
- Device Volume: Adjust the feeder's volume.
- Gallery: View screenshots and recorded videos.
Feeder Functions via App
- Feeding History: Check past feeding records.
- Manual Feeding: Dispense up to 20 portions at once.
- Schedule Setting: Set up to 15 feeding schedules per day. Select the date when setting the schedule.
- "10S Recording" Function: Start recording by clicking, and stop by clicking again. Recording should be done near the feeder.
IPC Terminal Access
Access the IPC terminal via a web browser at: https://protect-us.ismartlife.me. Alternatively, scan the QR code using the "Smart Life" app to utilize all functions.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the feeder is recommended for your pet's health. The following parts are washable:

The feeder base and power adapter are not washable.
FAQ
Feeder cannot connect to WiFi
- Ensure your phone's Bluetooth, WLAN, and GPS are enabled during connection (you can disable them after successful connection).
- Try other connection methods.
- WiFi network may be unstable; try connecting multiple times.
- Connect the device near your router (ideally within 3 meters).
- Consider switching to a 2.4G network connection.
- Check if your router is functioning correctly (try restarting the router).
- If problems persist, contact support for assistance.
WiFi connection frequently goes offline
- Ensure the feeder is within good WiFi coverage.
- Check if the power cord is securely connected.
Feeder's camera cannot read smartphone's QR code
- Ensure the feeder's indicator light is blinking blue.
- Try different connection methods as provided by the app.
- Align the QR code on the smartphone screen with the camera at the same height and move it back and forth.
Live video is not displayed
- Reconnect the feeder.
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected.
- Switch to a stronger WiFi signal.
- If network conditions are poor, change the video quality from HD to SD.
Where are photos and videos saved?
They are saved in the "Gallery" section under "Functions" in the app.
