4. Getting Started

Charging the Controller

The battery status indicator will only light up when the controller is off and will only display once at the relevant battery level. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller must be charged using the included USB Type A to USB Type C cable. For best performance, fully charge the controller before its first use. A depleted battery will take approximately 3 hours to fully charge.

Connecting the Controller

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller will prioritize a wired connection. If no wired connection is detected, it will automatically switch to using the dongle. Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download the installer from www.razer.com/synapse.

Connection Options:

• Wireless via Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle
• Wired via USB Type C Cable

5. Using the Controller

Powering On/Off

Press the Home button to power the controller on or off. The status indicator will show the power state.

Wireless Connection Status

The controller will search for the dongle (white pulsing light) and indicate when it is paired (solid white light).

Using the Trigger Stop Switches

The trigger stop switches allow you to shorten the travel distance of the LT and RT triggers for faster actuation. Slide the switches forward to enable and backward to disable.

Replacing Analog Stick Caps

To replace the analog stick caps, gently pull the current cap upwards. Align the new cap with the stick and press down until it clicks into place.

Function Button Commands

Reassigning Multi-function (M1-M6) Mappings

By default, the M1-M6 bumpers and buttons are unassigned. Remap these buttons using the following steps or Razer Synapse:

1. Press and hold the Function button and the multi-function bumper/button you wish to remap.
2. Press the button you want to assign.

Using Sensitivity Clutch

Press and hold the designated button to reduce the sensitivity of the selected analog stick by up to 50%. Sensitivity Clutch can be assigned and customized via Razer Synapse.

Effect on Movement:

• Low Sensitivity: Reduced movement range.

Effect on Aiming:

• Default: Standard aiming sensitivity.
• Low Sensitivity: Finer aiming adjustments.

6. Configuring Your Razer Wolverine V3 Pro

Disclaimer: This guide outlines the new Razer Synapse application and may only partially cover certain features of your device. The new Razer Synapse requires an internet connection for installation, updates, and cloud-based features. Registering a Razer ID is recommended but not mandatory. Features listed may vary across different versions, connected devices, and supported add-ons.

Synapse Dashboard

The 'Synapse' tab is the default when you first launch Razer Synapse. Use the following buttons to navigate the user interface:

• Minimize: Minimizes the application to the taskbar.
• Maximize: Expands the window to fill the screen.
• Close: Closes all tabs and terminates the application.
• Previous Tab: Returns to the last accessed tab.
• Next Tab: Navigates to the next tab if 'Previous Tab' was recently used.
• Refresh Tab: Reloads the current page.

Download Updates

If this button appears, it indicates changes to the application. Use this button to reload the page if it is not displaying correctly or to view the latest content.

More

Clicking this button opens a window to access 'Devices', 'Modules', and 'Other Installed Apps'.

Settings

Clicking this button opens the 'Settings' tab for quick changes to application settings.

Profile

Clicking this button opens a pop-up window for 'Login', 'Feedback', 'Rate this software', 'Add Wi-Fi device', and 'Exit'.

Information

Hovering over this button displays additional information about a feature or function.

Dashboard

The 'Dashboard' sub-tab is the central control console for Razer Synapse, providing access to all Razer devices, modules, and online services.

Gamer Room

The 'Gamer Room' sub-tab displays all devices with Razer Aether lighting functionality. Here, you can view and manage supported devices.

• Synapse Overlay: Allows customization of lighting effects and synchronization with Chroma-enabled games and Chroma Connect applications.
• Controlled by Gamer Room App: Displays devices remotely controlled by the Gamer Room application.

Devices and Modules

The 'Modules' sub-tab lists all installed and available modules.

General Shortcuts

Bind actions or Razer Synapse features to custom key combinations on any Razer Synapse-enabled device input, applicable across all device profiles.

• Only inputs from Razer Synapse-enabled devices are recognized.

Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller Tab

The 'Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller' tab is the main tab for your Razer controller. Here you can change device settings such as button assignments, analog stick dead zones, sensitivity, and polling rate. Changes made here are automatically saved locally and to the cloud.

• Profile Dropdown: Displays all profiles for the device for quick switching.
• More: Opens options related to your current profile.
• On-board Profiles: If your device supports on-board memory, this displays remaining storage and allows profile transfer or changes.

Customization

The 'Customization' sub-tab is used to modify button assignments.

• Profiles: A data storage system for all Razer device settings. Profile names are based on system names by default.

Polling Rate

Switch between various polling rate options. Higher polling rates mean the computer receives controller status information more frequently, reducing input lag and improving responsiveness.

D-Pad Direction

Choose whether to include diagonal directions in D-pad control by selecting 8-directional or using a 4-directional limit to only adjacent directions.

Multi-function Assignment

After selecting a customizable button, you can change it to one of the following functions:

• Default: Restores the selected button to its original settings.
• Keyboard Function: Assigns the button to a keyboard function. Turbo mode can be enabled for repeated key presses.
• Gamepad: Allows customization by assigning buttons to any available function on the gamepad for a better gaming experience.
• Disable: Makes the assigned button unusable.

Analog Stick

The 'Analog Stick' sub-tab allows adjustment of dead zones and sensitivity sliders for the Razer controller's analog sticks.

• Dead Zone: Filters out minor movements of the analog stick. Adjust sensitivity with left and right sliders. Lower values make sticks more responsive but can lead to unintended movement (stick drift).
• Movement Mode: Measures the circularity of stick movement based on physical and digital boundaries, optimizing digital boundaries for smoother movement.
• Prevent Double Dead Zone: Addresses issues where hardware/firmware and game dead zones combine, causing slow response and reduced accuracy. Enabling this ensures the controller's dead zone settings remain unchanged by the game.
• Sensitivity Slider: Software limits stick movement when a designated button is pressed.

Power

When the device is in wireless mode, the 'Power' sub-tab helps manage power consumption. You can set the device to enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

Calibration

The 'Calibration' sub-tab helps test analog stick performance and recalibrate them to resolve issues like stick drift.

Associated Games

The 'Associated Games' tab allows you to add applications, view peripherals associated with applications, or search the list.

• Games: Associate applications with peripherals. Sort applications by alphabetical order, recently played, or most played. Applications are listed even without a Razer device association. Add unlisted applications manually or via scan. Search for specific games or programs. To associate an application with a Razer device, click the application in the list and select the device and its profile. The device will automatically set to the selected profile upon launching the application.

Devices

The 'Devices' sub-tab allows you to view peripherals and identify associated applications. Selecting a device shows a list of associated applications, allowing you to add new ones or remove existing ones. Filter applications using 'View' and 'Order' dropdowns. Add unlisted applications by dragging executables or using the 'Add' button (+). In the search interface, click the checkbox in the top-left corner of an application to associate it with your Razer device. The device will automatically set to the selected profile upon launching the application.

Settings

Clicking the '...' button enters the 'Settings' tab for various configurations:

• Synapse: Specific options for the application.
• Language: Change the display language of Razer Synapse.
• Auto Launch: Configure the application's startup behavior.
• Recommendations: Display the latest products and features based on installed devices and associated games.
• Device Lighting: Select which application controls device lighting effects.
• Notifications: Allow the application to display on-screen notifications, even during full-screen applications.

Clicking the 'Reset' button reactivates all tutorials to help you familiarize yourself with Razer Synapse features.

General

In the 'General' sub-tab, access other application options and find additional software information.

• Language: Change the display language of Razer Synapse.
• About: Displays the current software version, copyright notices, and links to Razer's Terms of Use. Access Razer's social communities.

Feedback

Help improve the software by providing opinions, suggestions, and questions about Razer Synapse. Contact Razer directly or earn rewards for reporting software bugs.

7. Safety and Maintenance

Safety Guidelines

To ensure maximum safety when using the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller:

• If the device malfunctions and troubleshooting fails, unplug it and contact Razer service or visit support.razer.com for technical support. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.
• Do not disassemble the device or use it under abnormal current loads, as this will void the warranty.
• Keep the controller and all its parts and accessories out of reach of children to prevent accidents and/or personal injury.
• Keep the device and its components away from liquids, humid environments, or moisture. Use the device and its components within the specified temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. If the temperature exceeds this range, unplug and turn off the device to allow it to stabilize.

Maintenance and Usage

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller requires minimal maintenance to maintain optimal performance. It is recommended to unplug the device monthly and clean it with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dirt buildup. Never use soap or corrosive cleaners.
