4. Getting Started

Charging the Controller

The battery status indicator will only light up when the controller is off and will only display once at the relevant battery level. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller must be charged using the included USB Type A to USB Type C cable. For best performance, fully charge the controller before its first use. A depleted battery will take approximately 3 hours to fully charge.

Connecting the Controller

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller will prioritize a wired connection. If no wired connection is detected, it will automatically switch to using the dongle. Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download the installer from www.razer.com/synapse.

5. Using the Controller

Powering On/Off

Press the Home button to power the controller on or off. The status indicator will show the power state.

Wireless Connection Status

The controller will search for the dongle (white pulsing light) and indicate when it is paired (solid white light).

Using the Trigger Stop Switches

The trigger stop switches allow you to shorten the travel distance of the LT and RT triggers for faster actuation. Slide the switches forward to enable and backward to disable.

Replacing Analog Stick Caps

To replace the analog stick caps, gently pull the current cap upwards. Align the new cap with the stick and press down until it clicks into place.

Reassigning Multi-function (M1-M6) Mappings

By default, the M1-M6 bumpers and buttons are unassigned. Remap these buttons using the following steps or Razer Synapse:

  1. Press and hold the Function button and the multi-function bumper/button you wish to remap.
  2. Press the button you want to assign.

Using Sensitivity Clutch

Press and hold the designated button to reduce the sensitivity of the selected analog stick by up to 50%. Sensitivity Clutch can be assigned and customized via Razer Synapse.

6. Configuring Your Razer Wolverine V3 Pro

Disclaimer: This guide outlines the new Razer Synapse application and may only partially cover certain features of your device. The new Razer Synapse requires an internet connection for installation, updates, and cloud-based features. Registering a Razer ID is recommended but not mandatory. Features listed may vary across different versions, connected devices, and supported add-ons.

Synapse Dashboard

The 'Synapse' tab is the default when you first launch Razer Synapse. Use the following buttons to navigate the user interface:

Download Updates

If this button appears, it indicates changes to the application. Use this button to reload the page if it is not displaying correctly or to view the latest content.

More

Clicking this button opens a window to access 'Devices', 'Modules', and 'Other Installed Apps'.

Settings

Clicking this button opens the 'Settings' tab for quick changes to application settings.

Profile

Clicking this button opens a pop-up window for 'Login', 'Feedback', 'Rate this software', 'Add Wi-Fi device', and 'Exit'.

Information

Hovering over this button displays additional information about a feature or function.

Dashboard

The 'Dashboard' sub-tab is the central control console for Razer Synapse, providing access to all Razer devices, modules, and online services.

Gamer Room

The 'Gamer Room' sub-tab displays all devices with Razer Aether lighting functionality. Here, you can view and manage supported devices.

Devices and Modules

The 'Modules' sub-tab lists all installed and available modules.

General Shortcuts

Bind actions or Razer Synapse features to custom key combinations on any Razer Synapse-enabled device input, applicable across all device profiles.

Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller Tab

The 'Wolverine V3 Pro 8K PC Controller' tab is the main tab for your Razer controller. Here you can change device settings such as button assignments, analog stick dead zones, sensitivity, and polling rate. Changes made here are automatically saved locally and to the cloud.

Customization

The 'Customization' sub-tab is used to modify button assignments.

Polling Rate

Switch between various polling rate options. Higher polling rates mean the computer receives controller status information more frequently, reducing input lag and improving responsiveness.

D-Pad Direction

Choose whether to include diagonal directions in D-pad control by selecting 8-directional or using a 4-directional limit to only adjacent directions.

Multi-function Assignment

After selecting a customizable button, you can change it to one of the following functions:

Analog Stick

The 'Analog Stick' sub-tab allows adjustment of dead zones and sensitivity sliders for the Razer controller's analog sticks.

Power

When the device is in wireless mode, the 'Power' sub-tab helps manage power consumption. You can set the device to enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

Calibration

The 'Calibration' sub-tab helps test analog stick performance and recalibrate them to resolve issues like stick drift.

Associated Games

The 'Associated Games' tab allows you to add applications, view peripherals associated with applications, or search the list.

Devices

The 'Devices' sub-tab allows you to view peripherals and identify associated applications. Selecting a device shows a list of associated applications, allowing you to add new ones or remove existing ones. Filter applications using 'View' and 'Order' dropdowns. Add unlisted applications by dragging executables or using the 'Add' button (+). In the search interface, click the checkbox in the top-left corner of an application to associate it with your Razer device. The device will automatically set to the selected profile upon launching the application.

Clicking the '...' button enters the 'Settings' tab for various configurations:

Clicking the 'Reset' button reactivates all tutorials to help you familiarize yourself with Razer Synapse features.

General

In the 'General' sub-tab, access other application options and find additional software information.

Feedback

Help improve the software by providing opinions, suggestions, and questions about Razer Synapse. Contact Razer directly or earn rewards for reporting software bugs.
