Battery Options and Compatibility
The P20iX is compatible with NITECORE 21700 i Series batteries (output > 15A) and CR123/RCR123 batteries.
Important Notes:
- DO NOT attempt to charge CR123/RCR123 batteries with the P20iX.
- The P20iX is NOT compatible with conventional 21700/18650 batteries.
- TURBO / HIGHER brightness levels are inaccessible when using CR123/RCR123 batteries.

Operating Instructions
<0xF0><0x9F><0x94><0x8B> Battery Installation
Insert the battery(s) with the positive end (+) towards the head of the flashlight. Screw the tail cap on tightly. The power indicator will flash to show battery voltage after insertion.
Warning: Incorrect insertion will prevent operation. Do not look directly into the light. Replace or recharge low batteries. Remove batteries for prolonged storage.
<0xF0><0x9F><0x94><0x8C> Charging Function
The P20iX features an intelligent charging system. Connect an external power source (e.g., USB adapter) to the USB-C charging port using the provided cable. The power indicator will flash slowly during charging and turn solid when fully charged.
Charging a 5,000mAh 21700 Li-ion battery takes approximately 3 hours 45 minutes (with a 5V/2A adapter).
Connecting to a power source while the light is on will automatically turn it off; it will return to its previous state when disconnected.
<0xF0><0x9F><0x94><0x8C> Power Indicator
The power indicator (near the charging port) shows battery status:
- On Battery Insertion/Power Disconnect: Flashes to indicate battery voltage (e.g., 4 flashes pause 2 flashes for 4.2V).
- While Light is On:
- Solid On: Power > 50%
- Slow Flashing: Power < 50%
- Fast Flashing: Power < 10%
Note: For dual CR123 batteries, it shows the average voltage. Replace/recharge when output is dim or unresponsive.
Basic Operation
- Momentary Illumination: Half-press and hold the Power Button. Release to turn off.
- On/Off: Fully press the Power Button until it clicks.
User Mode Selection
The P20iX has two user modes:
- Daily Mode (Default): 6 brightness levels (TURBO, HIGHER, HIGH, MID, LOW, ULTRALOW) + STROBE. Memorizes the last used level (except TURBO) or STROBE.
- Tactical Mode: 4 brightness levels (TURBO, HIGH, MID, LOW) + STROBE. Memorizes TURBO or STROBE only.
Note: With CR123/RCR123 batteries, Daily Mode has 4 levels (HIGH, MID, LOW, ULTRALOW) + STROBE. Tactical Mode has 3 levels (HIGH, MID, LOW) + STROBE.
To Select User Mode:
- Ensure tail cap is fully tightened.
- Hold the Mode Button (STROBE READY™) and loosen the tail cap. The flashlight will enter TURBO or STROBE.
- The primary LED will flash: once for Daily Mode, twice for Tactical Mode.
- Release the Mode Button and tighten the tail cap.
Brightness Levels
- Daily Mode: Short press Mode Button to cycle: ULTRALOW → LOW → MID → HIGH → HIGHER.
- Tactical Mode: Short press Mode Button to cycle: TURBO → HIGH → MID → LOW.
Momentary Access to TURBO
Daily Mode: While light is on, press and hold Mode Button for TURBO (4,000 Lumens). Release to return to previous status. (With CR123/RCR123, accesses HIGH - 1,060 Lumens).
✨ STROBE READY™
- Light Off: Press and hold Mode Button for STROBE. Release to turn off.
- Light On (Any Mode): Triple-press Mode Button for STROBE. Short press Mode Button to return to previous status, or click Power Button to turn off. (Memorizes STROBE).
- Tactical Mode (Light On): Long press Mode Button for STROBE. Short press Mode Button to return to previous status, or click Power Button to turn off. (Does NOT memorize STROBE).
⚙️ ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)
The integrated ATR technology regulates the output according to working conditions and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.
? Maintenance
Every 6 months, wipe threads with a clean cloth and apply a thin coating of silicone-based lubricant.
?️ Warranty Service
NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. DOA/defective products can be exchanged within 15 days of purchase. Free repair service is provided for 60 months from the date of purchase. Beyond 60 months, a limited warranty applies (labor/maintenance costs, not accessories/parts).
Warranty is nullified if:
- Product is broken down, reconstructed, or modified by unauthorized parties.
- Product is damaged due to improper use (e.g., reversed polarity).
- Product is damaged due to battery leakage.
