Autel EVO II Dual 640T Quick Start Guide
1. Introduction to EVO II Dual 640T
Embark on your journey of exploration, discovery, and creation. The EVO II Dual 640T features advanced functions like obstacle avoidance and intelligent flight modes, easily achieving a top speed of 72 km/h, a hover time of up to 33 minutes, a flight time of 38 minutes, and an operating range of 9 km (FCC).
The drone's stable 3-axis camera can display real-time footage up to 1080p on mobile devices, or 720p on the remote controller's built-in OLED screen.

4. Flight Indicator Lights
Each arm of the drone has an LED indicator at its end. The front LED lights up solid red to help identify the drone's orientation. The rear LEDs display the drone's current flight status. The table below shows the meaning of each status indicator.
Indicator Status:
- Slow Flashing: Flashes once every 2 seconds
- Fast Flashing: Flashes twice per second
- Double Flash: Flashes twice, pauses, then repeats the sequence
- Alternating Flash: Flashes alternately in different colors
Color Indicator:
- R Red
- G Green
- Y Yellow

5. Remote Controller

- ① Mobile Device Holder: Adjustable 180° viewing angle for optimal viewing.
- ② Flight Information Display: Shows flight status, warning messages, and real-time video feed.
- ③ Control Sticks: Control drone direction and movement.
- ④ Grip: Foldable to reduce storage space.
- ⑤ Takeoff/Landing Button [takeoff/landing]
- ⑥ Power Button [⚡️]
- ⑦ USB Port: For charging or connecting mobile devices.
- ⑧ Pause Button: Instructs the drone to pause autonomous flight and hover in place, or resume autonomous flight.
- ⑨ Return-to-Home Button: Commands the drone to return to its home point.
- ⑩ Antenna: Communication frequency with the drone is 2.4 GHz / 5.8GHz.
- ⑪ Screen Navigation Dial: Scrolls through the OLED screen.
- ⑫ Screen Navigation Button: After disconnecting the mobile device, press for 1 second to enter/exit the image transmission screen.
- ⑬ Shutter Button: Takes photos. When burst mode is enabled, press this button to take multiple photos.
- ⑭ Button A: Function configurable via the Autel Explorer™ App.
- ⑮ Button B: Function configurable via the Autel Explorer™ App.
- ⑯ Record Button: Starts or stops video recording.
- ⑰ Gimbal Pitch Dial: Controls the gimbal's pitch angle.
6. Drone & Remote Controller Charging
The charger has two ports, allowing simultaneous charging of the drone battery and the remote controller battery.
1) Drone Battery: Insert the charging cable into the charging port.
2) Remote Controller: Open the USB port cover at the bottom of the remote controller and insert the USB charging cable into the charging port.
Notes:
- Always fully charge the drone and remote controller batteries before flight.
- The drone battery takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge, while the remote controller takes approximately 180 minutes.
7. Download Autel Explorer™ App
While the drone can be controlled using only the remote controller, advanced flight and recording functions require the use of the app. Follow these steps to connect the app.
- In the App Store or Android app market, search for the keyword 'Autel Explorer' and download the Autel Explorer™ app.
- Launch the app on your mobile device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your mobile device and remote controller.
Note: Autel Explorer supports iOS 9.0 and later, and Android 4.4 and later.
8. Prepare the Drone
1) Always remove the gimbal protector before turning on the drone. Gently pull out the installed gimbal protector as shown in the figure.
2) Unfold the arms and propellers.
Important:
Before folding the arms, turn off the drone's power switch. Fold the rear arms and propellers first, then fold the front arms.
9. Install Propellers
The drone comes with propellers pre-installed. If you need to reinstall them, follow these instructions. Ensure propellers are undamaged and securely mounted on the drone. Match propellers with white circular markings to motors with corresponding markings.
Install Propellers:
- Ensure the drone is powered off.
- Select the correct propeller for each motor.
- Press down firmly on the propeller and rotate it in the locking direction until it is securely attached.
Remove Propellers:
- Power off the drone.
- Press down firmly on the propeller and rotate it in the unlocking direction to remove it.
Instructions:
Locking Direction: Rotate in the indicated direction to secure the propeller.
Unlocking Direction: Rotate the propeller in the indicated direction to release it.
- Black Marked Propellers > Match > Black Marked Motors
- White Marked Propellers > Match > White Marked Motors
Warning:
Before installing or removing propellers, turn off the drone's power switch.
Important:
Wear protective gloves before installing or removing propellers.
10. Prepare the Remote Controller
1) Unfold the mobile device holder, antenna, and grips in order.
2) Position the antennas vertically for the strongest signal.
11. Power On Devices
1) Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the remote controller.
2) Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the drone. The battery indicator lights will illuminate, showing the drone's current battery level.
12. Take Off
1) Before takeoff, place the drone on a flat surface with the rear facing you.
2) Push the control sticks inward or outward and hold for 2 seconds, as shown in the figure.
3) After the motors start, you can command the drone to take off using either of the following methods:
- Press and hold the Takeoff/Landing button [takeoff/landing] for 3 seconds.
- Slowly push the left control stick upwards (Mode 2) [⬆️].
Note: Before takeoff, place the drone on a flat horizontal surface with its rear facing you.
13. Control Stick Operation (Mode 2)
Left Control Stick:
- Ascend/Descend: Push the left stick up [⬆️] to ascend, push down [⬇️] to descend.
- Yaw: Push the left stick left [⬅️] to yaw left (turn nose left), push right [➡️] to yaw right (turn nose right).
Right Control Stick:
- Pitch: Push the right stick forward [⬆️] to move forward, push backward [⬇️] to move backward.
- Roll: Push the right stick left [⬅️] to move left, push right [➡️] to move right.
