- Reassemble the lever into the snugger by sliding the lever up into place.
- Slide the glass divider into the snugger. The lever must be installed before sliding the divider into the snugger.
- Place the glass divider assembly in the desired divider location in the top drawer.
Shelf: The top drawer features a shelf that can fold down for storage of smaller containers, or fold up for storage of larger items on the drawer bottom. To fold up the shelf, lift it to the right until it rests against the right side. The shelf is dishwasher safe, top rack only.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the shelf in the top drawer, folded upwards against the side.
Food Storage Pan: The bottom drawer offers a pan for storage of smaller items. The pan slides easily to allow storage of and access to larger items below. The pan can be removed, allowing you to carry food to the countertop for preparation or to create more storage space for large food items. The food storage pan is dishwasher safe, top rack only.
Diagram Description: A diagram shows the sliding pan within the bottom drawer.
Drawer Lights: The brilliant full-width LED lighting in either drawer illuminates when the drawer is opened.
Sabbath Mode
The Sabbath Mode was designed for use on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays, allowing observant Jews to use the beverage center during the holiday. This feature can override typical reactions to user interaction. While in Sabbath Mode, the appliance will operate but will not respond to actions.
You may notice the fan running when the door is opened, which is normal and not a result of your actions. The compressor and fan will operate at predetermined times.
To Activate: Press and hold down the + and ON/OFF buttons on the control panel for at least 7 seconds. "SAb" will be displayed. All control settings will be frozen. To deactivate, press and hold the + and ON/OFF buttons again for 7 seconds. The display will show "out" for 1 second before resuming the last operating mode.
Care and Cleaning
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Turn the fresh-food refrigerator OFF or unplug the unit before cleaning. Turn the unit OFF by pressing the control panel button for a minimum of 3 seconds until the light and temperature display turn off.
Drawer Gasket: The vinyl gasket may be cleaned with mild soap and water, or a baking soda solution. Rinse well.
Power Failure: If power fails, open the drawer as infrequently as possible to maintain the temperature.
Preparing for Vacation: For long vacations or absences, remove food and turn the refrigerator OFF. Clean the interior. For shorter vacations, remove perishable foods and leave controls at regular settings. If the room temperature is expected to drop below 55°F (13°C), follow the same instructions as for long vacations.
Preparing to Move: Secure all loose items (shelf, divider, snugger) by taping them securely in place to prevent damage. IMPORTANT: Be sure the refrigerator stays in an upright position during moving.

Troubleshooting - Normal Operating Sounds
Newer appliances sound different from older ones. Modern appliances have more features and use newer technology.
Do you hear what I hear? These sounds are normal.
HUMMM... WHOOSH...
- The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your old appliance, producing a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound.
- The appliance may run for an extended period, especially when drawers are opened frequently.
- A whooshing sound may occur when drawers close due to pressure equalization.
- The cabinet fan runs continuously except when the drawer is opened.
WHIR!
- Fans may spin at high speeds when first plugged in, when drawers are opened frequently, or when a large amount of food is added. Fans help maintain desired temperatures.
- If a drawer is open for over 3 minutes, fans may come on to cool the light bulbs.
- Fans change speeds to provide optimal cooling and energy savings.
CLICKS, POPS, CRACKS and CHIRPS
- Cracking or popping sounds may occur when the appliance is first plugged in as it cools to the correct temperature.
- Electronic dampers click open and closed for optimal cooling and energy savings.
- The electronic control board may cause clicking sounds when relays activate appliance components.
- Expansion and contraction of cooling coils during and after defrost can cause cracking or popping sounds.
WATER SOUNDS
- The flow of refrigerant through freezer cooling coils may make a gurgling noise.
- Water dropping on the defrost heater can cause sizzling, popping, or buzzing sounds during the defrost cycle.
- A dripping noise may occur as ice melts from the evaporator and flows into the drain pan.
- Closing the drawer may cause a gurgling sound due to pressure equalization.
Troubleshooting
Problem: APPLIANCE DOES NOT OPERATE

Problem: VIBRATION OR RATTLING (Slight vibration is normal.)
Possible Cause: Adjust the leveling legs.
Problem: COMPRESSOR MOTOR OPERATES FOR LONG PERIODS OR CYCLES ON AND OFF FREQUENTLY
Possible Cause: Normal when first plugged in (allow 24 hours); large amounts of beverages added; drawer left open or package holding it open; hot weather or frequent drawer openings; temperature control set too cold.
Problem: FRESH FOOD OR FREEZER COMPARTMENT TOO WARM
Possible Cause: Temperature control not set cold enough.
Problem: FROST OR ICE CRYSTALS ON REAR WALL
Possible Cause: Drawer left open for long time; package holding drawer open; too frequent or too long drawer openings.
Problem: APPLIANCE HAS ODOR
Possible Cause: Interior needs cleaning; keep open box of baking soda inside (replace every 3 months).
Problem: DRAWER NOT CLOSING PROPERLY
Possible Cause: Drawer gasket sticking or folding over (apply petroleum jelly or paraffin wax to gasket face); drawer hitting an internal component (adjust interior components).
Problem: MOISTURE FORMS ON OUTSIDE OF APPLIANCE
Possible Cause: Not unusual during periods of high humidity; wipe surface dry; drawer left open.
Problem: MOISTURE COLLECTS INSIDE
Possible Cause: Drawer left open; too frequent or too long drawer openings; humid weather.
Problem: INTERIOR LIGHT DOES NOT WORK
Possible Cause: No power at outlet; light bulb needs replacing; controls set to OFF; Sabbath Mode may be operating.
Problem: HOT AIR FROM BOTTOM OF APPLIANCE
Possible Cause: Normal air flow cools the motor. Heat is expelled under the appliance during the refrigeration process.
Problem: APPLIANCE NEVER SHUTS OFF BUT TEMPERATURES ARE OK
Possible Cause: Adaptive defrost keeps compressor running during drawer openings; normal operation in extreme temperatures.
Problem: ACTUAL TEMPERATURE NOT EQUAL TO SET TEMPERATURE
Possible Cause: Unit just plugged in (allow 24 hours); drawer open for too long (allow 24 hours); warm contents added (allow 24 hours); defrost cycle in process (allow 24 hours).
