Controls and Features

Temperature Controls: The temperature display shows the actual temperature. The actual temperature may vary slightly from the set temperature due to factors like drawer opening, food load, and room temperature.

To change the temperature setting, press the + or - pads until the desired temperature is reached. After 5 seconds, the display returns to the actual temperature. Allow 12-24 hours for the refrigerator to reach the set temperature.

Temperature Settings: Minimum: 34°F (1.1°C), Maximum: 45°F (7.2°C)

Diagram Description: The temperature control interface consists of a display screen, a plus (+) button, and a minus (-) button.

Child Control Lockout: This feature prevents unwanted changes to temperature settings. After setting the desired temperature, press both the + and - pads simultaneously for five seconds to lock. Press both pads again for five seconds to unlock.

Unit ON/OFF: This pad stops cooling, turns off temperature controls, and removes power to the light circuit. Press the ON/OFF pad for a minimum of 3 seconds to turn the refrigerator on or off. This is also used for unplugging the unit for long vacations or when cleaning/changing the light bulb.

Diagram Description: A button labeled "POWER ON/OFF" with text "HOLD 3 SEC" below it.

Interior Fan: The interior fan, located in the rear wall, may run for extended periods due to usage and ambient temperature. This is normal. The interior fan will turn off when the drawer is opened.

Glass Divider: The top drawer has a moveable, tempered glass divider for separating and organizing foods. The divider can be placed in one of two locations.

To remove the divider, lift it up until it clears the rear and front retaining slots. To replace, slide it into one of the divider locations. The glass divider is dishwasher safe, top rack only.

Diagram Description: A diagram showing the inside of the top drawer with two numbered slots (1 and 2) indicating where the glass divider can be placed.

Controls and Features (Continued)

Snugger: The snugger attached to the glass divider helps prevent tipping, spilling, or sliding of small items when the top drawer is opened. Lift the lock-down lever near the top of the snugger, adjust it as needed, and press the lever down to lock it in place. The snugger is dishwasher safe, top rack only.

Diagram Description: Diagrams illustrate the snugger mechanism, including the lever in locked and unlocked positions, and how it attaches to the glass divider.

Assembly Instructions:

To remove:

  1. Lift the glass divider assembly out of the drawer by grasping the glass divider and snugger where the lever is located. Place the assembly on a sturdy surface.
  2. Lift the lever.
  3. Slide the snugger off the glass divider.
  4. Remove the lever from the snugger by lifting it up and sliding it down and out of the assembly.

Note: The glass divider, snugger, and lever can be cleaned on the top rack of a dishwasher.

To replace or relocate:

  1. Reassemble the lever into the snugger by sliding the lever up into place.
  2. Slide the glass divider into the snugger. The lever must be installed before sliding the divider into the snugger.
  3. Place the glass divider assembly in the desired divider location in the top drawer.

Shelf: The top drawer features a shelf that can fold down for storage of smaller containers, or fold up for storage of larger items on the drawer bottom. To fold up the shelf, lift it to the right until it rests against the right side. The shelf is dishwasher safe, top rack only.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the shelf in the top drawer, folded upwards against the side.

Food Storage Pan: The bottom drawer offers a pan for storage of smaller items. The pan slides easily to allow storage of and access to larger items below. The pan can be removed, allowing you to carry food to the countertop for preparation or to create more storage space for large food items. The food storage pan is dishwasher safe, top rack only.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the sliding pan within the bottom drawer.

Drawer Lights: The brilliant full-width LED lighting in either drawer illuminates when the drawer is opened.

Sabbath Mode

The Sabbath Mode was designed for use on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays, allowing observant Jews to use the beverage center during the holiday. This feature can override typical reactions to user interaction. While in Sabbath Mode, the appliance will operate but will not respond to actions.

You may notice the fan running when the door is opened, which is normal and not a result of your actions. The compressor and fan will operate at predetermined times.

To Activate: Press and hold down the + and ON/OFF buttons on the control panel for at least 7 seconds. "SAb" will be displayed. All control settings will be frozen. To deactivate, press and hold the + and ON/OFF buttons again for 7 seconds. The display will show "out" for 1 second before resuming the last operating mode.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Turn the fresh-food refrigerator OFF or unplug the unit before cleaning. Turn the unit OFF by pressing the control panel button for a minimum of 3 seconds until the light and temperature display turn off.

Drawer Gasket: The vinyl gasket may be cleaned with mild soap and water, or a baking soda solution. Rinse well.

Power Failure: If power fails, open the drawer as infrequently as possible to maintain the temperature.

Preparing for Vacation: For long vacations or absences, remove food and turn the refrigerator OFF. Clean the interior. For shorter vacations, remove perishable foods and leave controls at regular settings. If the room temperature is expected to drop below 55°F (13°C), follow the same instructions as for long vacations.

Preparing to Move: Secure all loose items (shelf, divider, snugger) by taping them securely in place to prevent damage. IMPORTANT: Be sure the refrigerator stays in an upright position during moving.

Cleaning the Inside:

Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. If not practical, turn the unit OFF and wring excess moisture out of the cloth or sponge when cleaning around switches, lights, or controls.

Use warm water and baking soda solution (about a tablespoon (15 ml) of baking soda to a quart (1 liter) of water). This cleans and neutralizes odors. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.

Other parts, including drawer gaskets, divider, snugger, shelf, and sliding pan, can be cleaned the same way. The glass divider, snugger, lever, shelf, and food storage pan are dishwasher safe, top rack only.

WARNING: Risk of fire or explosion. Flammable refrigerant used. To remove frost, scrape with a plastic or wood spatula or scraper. Do not use an ice pick or a metal or sharp-edged instrument, as it may puncture the appliance liner and the flammable refrigerant tubing behind it. Do not use any electrical device to defrost your appliance.

CAUTION: Do not clean glass shelves or covers with warm water when they are cold. Glass shelves and covers may break if exposed to sudden temperature changes or impact, such as bumping or dropping. Tempered glass is designed to shatter into many small pieces if it breaks.
