5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Test flow for abnormal machine:
A flowchart guides the user through troubleshooting steps for an abnormal machine. It covers checks for DC adaptor connection, power indicator LED, ACER logo display, LED backlight, and the 30-pin FFC cable. If the screen shows white blank, it suggests checking the 30-pin FFC cable connection. If the display is normal, the process ends. Otherwise, it refers to specific debug sections.
5.2 LED backlight debug flow:
This flowchart addresses LED backlight issues. It includes checks for video pattern, 10-pin FFC connection, BFB1pin voltage, BR9.1 and BR7.1 status, and PWM signal on BR3. It also checks BUI status and backlight operation, guiding the user to identify defective components like BU1, BU2, or BR?. It also suggests reconnecting the 10-pin FFC or checking the DC adaptor.
5.3 Power debug flow:
This flowchart outlines power-related troubleshooting. It involves checking specific pin voltages for components U1, U2, U3, and BU2. If the voltage is not as expected, it indicates a defect in the respective component.
6. FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) List
The FRU list provides details of replaceable units for the Acer SA220Q monitor. It includes photos, SPL Category, Acer PN, Raken PN, and ODM Description for each part.
