SEB26 Layout
FRONT: Features backlit speakers and a control panel.
LEFT SIDE: Features a backlit woofer.
RIGHT SIDE: Features a backlit woofer.
BACK: Features a rechargeable battery pack and a light bar.
Input and Output Connections
USB Charging Port: USB-A jack for charging devices (5V, 2.1A). Functions only when the speaker is powered on.
Aux-In Port (Black): 3.5mm audio jack for connecting additional soundbars, CD players, MP3 players, etc.
Aux-Out Port (Gray): 3.5mm audio jack for connecting to additional soundbars, radios, amplifiers, or audio systems with an Aux-In connection.
Important: Maintaining Waterproofness
Ensure all port caps are properly closed to maintain the unit's watertight integrity. Push firmly to ensure a secure seal.
Buttons and LED Status Indicators
LED Indicators (Left to Right): Power, Bluetooth, Mode, and Status.
- Power: Solid Green (On), No Light (Off)
- Bluetooth: Flashing Blue (Pairing), Solid Blue (Connected)
- Mode: Solid Blue (Speaker Mode), Flashing Red (EcoCast Transmitting - Pairing Ready), Solid Red (EcoCast Transmitting - Paired), Flashing Green (EcoCast Receiving - Pairing Ready), Solid Green (EcoCast Receiving - Paired)
- Status: Solid Blue (FM Mode), Solid Green (Aux-In Mode)
Controls:
- Power Button (): Turns the soundbar on/off.
- Mode Button (MODE): Cycles through Bluetooth, EcoCast Transmitting, EcoCast Receiving, FM, and Aux-In modes.
- Volume Control Buttons (+): Adjusts speaker volume. Press and hold for continuous volume adjustment.
- Track Buttons (<>): In Bluetooth Mode, plays previous/next track. In FM Mode, tunes to a radio station or seeks the next available station when pressed and held.
- Backlight Speakers Button (): Cycles through 6 Party Light Modes (Green, Red, White, Blue, Music Sync, Fading).
- Light Bar Button (): Cycles through 5 Light Modes (Red, Yellow, White High, White Mid, White Low).
- Bluetooth Button (): Enters Bluetooth Pairing mode. Disconnects and re-enables pairing when connected. Press and hold for 5 seconds to clear pairing memory. In FM Mode, used for FM Station Preset 1.
- Play / Pause / Answer / EcoTalk Button (|||): Plays/pauses audio, answers/ends calls. Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate voice assistant (Siri, Hey Google). In FM Mode, used for FM Station Preset 2.
Installation and Charging
Mounting Your Soundbar: Refer to the separate, mount-specific spec sheet for mounting accessories.
Rechargeable Battery: The SEB28 features a removable 12V Rechargeable Battery Pack. Charge fully before first use (approx. 8 hours).
WARNING: Use only the provided Battery Charger. Using an alternative charger may cause permanent damage and void the warranty.
Recharge Battery Pack:
- Prior to first use, the Battery Port Cap creates a waterproof seal. Remove the Battery Pack from packaging.
- Loosen the strap fastened over the Battery Pack.
- Remove the Battery Pack by pressing the Battery Release Buttons on both sides and pulling it out.
- Insert the Battery Port Cap to create a waterproof seal while the Battery Pack is charging.
- Insert the Battery Pack into the Battery Charger.
- Plug the Battery Charger into a wall power outlet.
- The Battery Charging Indicator on the charger will be red while charging and green when fully charged.
- Press the Battery Level Status Button on the Battery Pack to check charge level (each LED segment is 25% of a charge).
- Once fully charged (approx. 8 hours), remove the Battery Pack from the charger and remove the Battery Port Cap.
- Insert the Battery Pack into the back of the speaker, ensuring an audible click. Fasten the strap over the battery.
Use Caution: Do NOT attempt to charge a wet battery. The Battery Charger is NOT waterproof.
Notes:
- Fully charge prior to use (6-8 hours).
- Do NOT leave the unit plugged in and charging for more than 16 hours after it indicates a full charge.
Audio Functions
Connecting and Playing Bluetooth Audio:
- Turn on your Bluetooth device.
- Short-press the Power Button () to turn on the SoundExtreme.
- Short-press the Bluetooth Button () to start pairing if the Bluetooth LED Indicator is not flashing blue.
- On your Bluetooth device, find and select 'ECOXGEAR'. If not visible, toggle Bluetooth off/on or short-press the Bluetooth Button on the speaker again.
- Once connected (solid blue LED), play audio from your device and control playback using the Play/Pause, Volume, or Track buttons on the speaker.
Notes:
- If pairing is not complete within 5 minutes, repeat the pairing steps.
- The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last connected device when powered on.
- Press and hold () for 5 seconds to clear all pairing records.
Adjust Volume: Short-press () to adjust volume. Press and hold () for continuous adjustment.
Play Music (Bluetooth Mode): Short-press (||| to play/pause. Short-press < to play previous song, > to skip to next track.
Notes:
- If a call is received, short-press (||| to answer/end.
- Aux-In audio source requires control via the connected device.
EcoTalk: Press and hold (||| for 3 seconds to activate your device's voice assistant.
EcoCast - Stream Music Between Multiple Speakers:
The SoundExtreme SEB26 allows broadcasting (transmitting) or receiving wireless audio streams to/from other EcoCast-enabled products (up to 100 units).
EcoCast Streaming: Two Modes: Use the Mode Button (MODE) to select:
- EcoCast Transmitting Mode: Broadcasts audio to multiple connected EcoCast-enabled speakers.
- EcoCast Receiving Mode: Receives audio from an EcoCast Transmitting speaker, soundbar, or radio.
Notes:
- EcoCast is disabled in Speaker Mode.
- Two or more ECOXGEAR/SoundExtreme speakers with the EcoCast symbol can form a broadcast system.
EcoCast: First Two Speakers:
- Connect one soundbar (Speaker A) to your Bluetooth device.
- Short-press the Mode Button (MODE) on Speaker A to enter EcoCast Transmitting Mode (flashing Red LED, "EcoCast transmitting" announcement).
- Turn on the other soundbar (Speaker B) and short-press the Mode Button (MODE) to enter EcoCast Receiving Mode (flashing Green LED, "EcoCast receiving" announcement).
- Speaker B will announce "Connection successful" and play audio from your Bluetooth device.
EcoCast: Additional Receiving Speakers:
- Turn on additional EcoCast-enabled speakers (Speaker C, D) and press the Mode Button (MODE) to enter EcoCast Receiving Mode (flashing Green LED, "EcoCast receiving" announcement).
- On Speaker A (solid Red LED), press and hold the Mode Button (MODE) for 6 seconds (flashing Red LED).
- Speakers C and D will announce "Connection successful" and play audio from your Bluetooth device.
Notes:
- Speakers in EcoCast Receiving Mode will automatically reconnect to the transmitting speaker if powered off and on. Reconnect manually if needed.
- EcoCast functionality is limited to Bluetooth audio sources and a maximum range of 30 feet between speakers. Ensure speakers are within close proximity when connecting.
Listening to FM Radio:
Recommendation: Turn off LED Party Lights when searching for radio stations to avoid interference.
Station Tuning:
- Short-press the Mode Button (MODE) to enter FM Mode ("FM Mode" announcement).
- Short-press < or > to tune to a radio station.
- Press and hold < or > to seek a strong station.
- Short-press () to adjust volume.
Station Presets: Save tuned stations as Presets (up to two). Press and hold () for Preset 1, and (||| for Preset 2. Briefly press either button to listen to a stored preset.
Remote Control
Pairing Your Remote Control:
- Pull and remove the plastic tab from the remote.
- Short-press the Power Button () on the speaker's Control Panel to turn it on.
- Within 15 seconds, press and hold the ACC button on the remote for 3 seconds to pair.
- Verify pairing by pressing the light button () on the remote to see if the speaker lights up. If not, turn the speaker off and repeat the pairing steps.
Audio Controls:
- Power On: Press and hold () for 3 seconds.
- Power Off: Press and hold () for 3 seconds.
- Mode: Short-press to cycle through Bluetooth, EcoCast Transmitting, EcoCast Receiving, FM, and Aux-In.
- Play/Pause: Short-press (|||.
- Previous/Next Track: Short-press < / >.
- Volume: Short-press () to adjust volume.
LED: Backlit Speakers: Short-press () to turn backlights on/off. Short-press () to cycle through 6 Party Light Modes.
LED: Light Bar: Short-press () to turn the Light Bar on/off. Short-press () to cycle through 5 Light Modes.
Troubleshooting
- Sound is distorted: Lower volume on connected device and/or soundbar.
- Cannot pair with Bluetooth: Ensure device compatibility. Turn off/on Bluetooth devices and reconnect. Ensure Bluetooth Mode is selected.
- Poor FM reception: Move the product to a different location.
- Cannot play music from flash drive: USB ports are for charging only.
- Volume level too low: Increase volume on both the SEB26 and your Bluetooth device.
- LED lights for show and off-road use only: Check local ordinances. LED lights are not DOT compliant.
