ELKO EP ATS-2D, ATS-2DR, ATS-2WR Analog Time Switches
Product Overview
The ELKO EP ATS-2D, ATS-2DR, and ATS-2WR are analog time switches designed for controlling heating, ventilation, cooling, lighting, or pump systems based on real-time programming. They offer a simple and cost-effective alternative to digital switches.
Key features include a mechanical time switch, a power reserve of up to 150 hours after full charge (ATS-2DR, ATS-2WR), and a plombable transparent cover for the front panel. The ATS-2D and ATS-2DR models include a plastic DIN rail for mounting.
Characteristics
- Mechanical time switch: a simple and inexpensive alternative to digital switches for controlling heating, ventilation, cooling, lighting, or pump systems depending on the real time.
- Power reserve after power disconnection: up to 150 hours after full charge (ATS-2DR, ATS-2WR).
- Plombable transparent cover for the front panel.
- ATS-2D and ATS-2DR include a plastic DIN rail.
- Choice of operating modes via a panel switch:
- ATS-2D, ATS-2DR:
- I: Permanently ON
- II: Automatic switching according to the set program
- ATS-2WR:
- Automatic switching according to the set program
- I: Permanently ON
- O: Permanently OFF
- ATS-2D, ATS-2DR:
Device Description and Wiring
The time switches feature an output contact (1-2-3), a programming disc for setting the time, an operating mode switch, and terminals for power supply (L-N or 4-5). They also have a transparent opening cover and a time indicator, with a plombable location.
Wiring (ATS-2D, ATS-2DR): Connect power to terminals L and N. Output contacts are typically 1 (common), 2 (normally closed), and 3 (normally open).
Wiring (ATS-2WR): Connect power to terminals 4 and 5. Output contacts are typically 1 (common), 2 (normally closed), and 3 (normally open).
Setting the Program: Segments on the programming disc represent time intervals. Pushing segments down activates the switch for that period.
Example Program (ATS-2D, ATS-2DR): ZAP (ON) from 06:00 to 12:00, VYP (OFF) from 12:00 to 14:00, ZAP (ON) from 14:00 to 19:30, VYP (OFF) from 19:30 to 06:00.

Setting the Time
ATS-2D, ATS-2DR: To set the time, rotate the programming disc clockwise. Do not rotate counter-clockwise. The small hand indicates the current time.
ATS-2WR: To set the day and time, rotate the programming disc clockwise. Do not rotate counter-clockwise. The example shows setting the time to 14:45 on Wednesday (day 3).
Important Notes and Warnings
These devices are designed for connection to a single-phase AC 230V network and must be installed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Installation, connection, setting, and operation should only be performed by qualified personnel who have familiarized themselves with the manual and the device's function.
The devices incorporate protection against voltage spikes and interference pulses in the power supply. For proper functioning of these protections, higher-level protections (A, B, C) must be installed in the system, and interference suppression of switched devices (contactors, motors, inductive loads, etc.) must be ensured according to standards.
Before installation, ensure the device is de-energized and the main switch is OFF. Do not install the device near sources of excessive electromagnetic interference. Ensure proper air circulation for optimal performance and to prevent exceeding the maximum permissible operating temperature.
Use a screwdriver of approximately 2 mm width for installation and setting. Handle the device with care as it is a fully electronic instrument.
Ensure the device has not been damaged during transport, storage, or handling. If any damage, deformation, malfunction, or missing parts are found, do not install the device and contact the seller for a replacement.
Dispose of the product as electronic waste at the end of its service life.
