4. Power Supply
PoE Version
VS133-P is powered by 802.3at standard PoE. Choose one of the following methods to power up the device:
- Powered by PoE Switch
- Powered by PoE Injector
LoRaWAN® Version
VS133-868M/915M/470M is powered by adapter (12VDC, 2A).
Diagrams showing connections via PoE Switch/Injector and via Power Adapter are described textually.
5. Installation
Installation Steps:
- Ensure the ceiling thickness is more than 30mm. Attach the mounting sticker, drill 4 holes (6mm diameter). Drill a wire hole if wires need to extend inside the ceiling.
- Fix the wall plugs into the ceiling holes.
- Remove the device cover. Connect required wires and pass them through the device's wire hole. Alternatively, break the side block if wires need to protrude from the side. (Note: If using the Alarm I/O port of VS133-P, connect the Multi-interface to the device).
- Fix the device to the wall plugs using mounting screws.
- Replace the device cover.
Recommended Height & Detection Area:
The maximum installation height is 3.5m. Monitored areas for people counting at different heights:

Installation Notes:
- Ensure the detection part of the sensor faces straight down and is in line with the ceiling.
- Avoid direct Infrared LED light in the detection area.
- Do not install the sensor close to glass or mirrors.
- Ensure no other objects block the ToF light within a 30cm radius of the device's front.
- Though the device is compliant with Class 1 (IEC/EN 60825-1:2014), please DO NOT look at the ToF sensor too closely and directly.
6. Access from Web Browser
The VS133 provides a user-friendly web GUI for configuration, accessible via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. A password must be set on first use.
Default Settings:
- Wi-Fi SSID: People Counter_xxxxxx (found on the label)
- Wi-Fi IP: 192.168.1.1 (LoRaWAN® Version)
- ETH IP: 192.168.5.220 (PoE Version)
Access Methods:
Wireless Method: Enable wireless network connection on your computer, search for the corresponding Wi-Fi SSID, connect to it, then type 192.168.1.1 in your browser to access the web GUI.
Wired Method: Connect the device to your computer via Ethernet. Manually assign your computer's IP address to 192.168.5.xxx (e.g., 192.168.5.100). Then, type 192.168.5.220 in your browser to access the web GUI.
The TCP/IPv4 Properties dialog for manual IP configuration is described as follows: Set 'Obtain an IP address automatically' to 'Use the following IP address'. Enter '192.168.5.100' for IP address and '255.255.255.0' for Subnet mask. Leave Default gateway blank or set as needed. Set 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' to 'Use the following DNS server addresses' if required.
7. FCC Statement
Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
FCC Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
