Nespresso Pixie

Overview

The Nespresso Pixie machine features the following components:

• 1 Buttons: For selecting Espresso or Lungo coffee sizes.
• 2 Water tank: Removable tank for water.
• 3 Lever: Used to open the capsule compartment and brew coffee.
• 4 Used capsule container: Collects used coffee capsules.
• 5 Cup support: Adjustable support for different cup sizes.
• 6 Drip tray: Catches any drips.

First Steps

Remove the Dust: Before first use, wipe down the machine with a damp cloth.

On / Off

The machine automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

To turn the machine on or off manually, press and hold both the Espresso and Lungo buttons simultaneously for less than 1 second.

First Rinsing

1. Fill the water tank with 1 liter of fresh water.
2. Place a container with at least 1 liter capacity under the coffee outlet.
3. Plug in the machine.
4. Press the Lungo button. The machine will rinse itself.
5. Once the rinsing cycle is complete, discard the water and repeat the process two more times (x2).

Coffee Preparation

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Turn on the machine by pressing the power button.
3. Lift the lever to open the capsule compartment.
4. Insert a Nespresso capsule.
5. Close the lever.
6. Place a cup under the coffee outlet.
7. Press the desired coffee button (Espresso or Lungo). The indicator lights will show the brewing process.
8. Once brewing is complete, lift the lever to eject the used capsule into the container.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Nespresso Pixie machine.

Cleaning

• The machine is not dishwasher safe.
• Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
• Empty and rinse the used capsule container and drip tray regularly.

Descaling

Descaling is recommended every 2-3 months, or when the machine indicates it is needed (e.g., blinking lights).

1. Empty the used capsule container and drip tray.
2. Fill the water tank with 0.5 liters of water and add one Nespresso descaling agent sachet.
3. Place a large container (at least 1 liter) under the coffee outlet.
4. Press and hold both the Espresso and Lungo buttons for at least 6 seconds to enter descaling mode. The lights will blink.
5. Press the Lungo button to start the descaling process.
6. Once the process is complete, rinse the water tank and refill it with fresh water.
7. Run two full tanks of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any descaling solution.
