Unfasten the snap strap securing the gate side and off-gate side rail assemblies together. 1. With the ramp door open and secured in the patio position, swing the gate side rail assembly open (Fig. 1)(Fig. 2), sliding the compression foot (Fig. 3A) into the keeper base (Fig. 3B). 2. Lock the rail into place by turning the compression latch (Fig. 4A) clockwise to the position indicated in Figure 5. Note: Always lift the rail assemblies/sections upwards while moving or positioning any part of them to assist the caster springs and avoid scratching the ramp door surface with the compression latch feet. Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 4 Fig. 3 B A Fig. 5 Rev: 06.07.24 A Page 4 CCD-0006220 3. Swing the off-gate side rail assembly open (Fig. 6) and insert the compression foot into the keeper base. 4. Lock the rail into place by turning the compression latch on the foot clockwise. Fig. 6 5. Release the rail panels by unsnapping the locking straps on each rail assembly. 6. Open the secondary side panel (Fig. 7A) of the gate side assembly 180° to be parallel with the main side panel (Fig. 7B) and then swing the front panel/gate assembly 90° (Fig. 32C), sliding the bottom of the foot into the keeper base. 7. Lock the rail into place by turning the compression latch on the foot clockwise. 8. Open the secondary side panel (Fig. 8A) of the off-gate side assembly 180° to be parallel with the main side panel (Fig. 8B) and then swing the front panel 90° (Fig. 8C), sliding the bottom of the foot into the keeper base. 9. Lock the rail into place by turning the compression latch on the foot clockwise. 10. Open or close the gate by lifting the latch. Fig. 7 B A Fig. 8 B C C Rev: 06.07.24 Page 5 A CCD-0006220 Closing the Rail Kit to the Stowed Position 1. Lift the gate latch (Fig. 9A). Be sure to open the latch past 90° so that the rubber sleeves catch on the metal of the gate assembly (Fig. 9B) and secure the latch snugly in the open position. Jiggle or attempt to displace the latch to ensure it is tight an will not dislodge. Fig. 9 A B Failure to ensure latch is secured may cause it to fall open and damage the patio rail assembly, the door jamb, and/or the door while opening and closing. 2. Open the gate (Fig. 10A) slightly so it does not interfere with the remainder of the procedure. 3. Release the off-gate side front compression latch on the foot of the rail (Fig. 10B) by turning it counterclockwise to the open position (Fig. 11)(Fig. 12). Fig. 10 A B Fig. 11 Fig. 12 Rev: 06.07.24 Page 6 CCD-0006220 4. Close the off-gate side front panel (Fig. 13A) and secondary side panel (Fig. 13B) by moving them inwards to the main side panel (Fig. 13C). Note: Always lift the rail assemblies/sections upwards while moving or positioning any part of them to assist the caster springs and avoid scratching the ramp door surface with the compression latch feet. 5. Secure the off-gate side rails by snapping the locking straps along the top of each rail section. 6. Release the gate side front compression latch on the foot of the rail by turning it counterclockwise to the open position (Fig. 14A). 7. Close the gate side front panel and gate (Fig. 14B) and secondary side panel (Fig. 14C) by moving them inwards to the main side panel (Fig. 14D). 8. Secure the gate side rails and gate by snapping the locking straps along the top of each rail section. Fig. 13 Fig. 14 D C A B C B A 9. Release the off-gate side compression latch on the foot of the rail by turning it counterclockwise to the open position (Fig. 15A). 10. Close the off-gate side rail assembly by swinging it 90° into the door cavity (Fig. 15). Swing the rail assembly as far into the cavity as possible. Fig. 15 A Rev: 06.07.24 Page 7 CCD-0006220 11. Release the gate side compression latch on the foot of the rail by turning it counterclockwise to the open position (Fig. 16A). 12. Close the gate side rail assembly by swinging it 90° into the door cavity, covering the off-gate side assembly (Fig. 16). Make sure the rail assembly completely clears the door trim and is entirely inside the cavity between the door and chassis subfloor. If patio kit is not fully inside cavity between door and chassis subfloor, door operation will become impeded and damage may occur. Fig. 16 A 13. Remove any installed steps, and close the patio door as needed (Fig. 17). Fig. 17 Rev: 06.07.24 Page 8 CCD-0006220 Opening the Rails for Ramp Door Operation 1. Position the gate side rail assembly (Fig. 18A) and the off-gate side rail assembly (Fig. 18B) so that they are in the open position as depicted in Figure 18. The front rail sections should be closed and secured against the main rail sections by straps at the top of each section. For detailed instructions on how to open/close sections of the rail as needed, follow the instructions in earlier sections in this manual. Note: Always lift the rail assemblies/sections upwards while moving or positioning any part of them to assist the caster springs and avoid scratching the ramp door surface with the compression latch feet. Fig. 18 A B 2. Open the gate side rail assembly compression latch by turning the latch counterclockwise (Fig. 19A) 3. Disengage the gate side compression foot (Fig. 20A) from the keeper base (Fig. 20B) by sliding the rail assembly slightly inwards. 4. Repeat with the off-gate side latch, foot, and rail assembly. 5. Make sure no compression feet or sections of rail are caught on the door or in keeper bases. Failing to completely disengage and release the compression feet from their keeper bases and lowering the ramp door prematurely will result in damage to the door and/or the rail kit assembly. Fig. 19 Fig. 20 A Rev: 06.07.24 B Page 9 A CCD-0006220 6. Disconnect all applicable cables, release and remove any installed steps. 7. Open the door to the ramp position according the instructions for the specific door installed on the unit (Fig. 21). Fig. 21 8. Secure the off-gate side rail assembly (Fig. 22A) in the open position by stretching the bungee cord (Fig. 22B) out and clipping it onto the loop on the door frame (Fig. 22C). 9. Repeat with the bungee cord on the gate side rail assembly.
