"Joggable" Electronic Anti-Skip Protection

This player features a 45-second Electronic Anti-Skip Memory and an Anti-Rolling Mechanism to minimize skipping. The joggable anti-skip circuitry offers faster recovery times, allowing skip-free music during activities like jogging. When playback begins, the player stores 45 seconds of music in memory. If subjected to shocks or bumps of less than 45 seconds, they will not be noticed. Longer shocks may deplete the memory, causing skips.

The Joggable Anti-Skip indicator flashes rapidly when playback starts and flashes slowly when the 45-second memory is full. It flashes rapidly again if the player is bumped or shaken. The memory refills and the indicator slows down when bumps stop.

The Joggable Anti Skip System uses extra battery power. If not jogging, press the ASP button to turn the anti-skip circuitry Off. The "joggable" indicator will disappear, saving battery life.

Note: The joggable anti-skip system turns On automatically each time you play a disc.

Connection to an External Audio System

Connect this CD player to a home stereo system, receiver, amplifier, or recorder using the LINE OUT jack. Connect it to the Left/Right Auxiliary Inputs, Line Inputs, or Record Inputs of the external device. The connection cable is not included.

Set the DBBS (Bass Boost) switch on this CD player to the "OFF" position. Follow the external source connection instructions for your equipment.

A diagram illustrates connecting the LINE OUT jack to a stereo system or cassette recorder.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Cabinet

Wipe with a soft cloth. For heavy dirt, dampen the cloth with a weak solution of neutral detergent and water, then wipe clean.

Cleaning the Lens

A dirty lens can cause skipping or prevent the CD from working. Open the disc cover and clean the lens as follows:

When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
