1. Identification / Recognition
Important Note: NO ENGINE NOISE DOES NOT MEAN THE VEHICLE IS SWITCHED OFF: QUIET MOVEMENT OR INSTANT RESTART ARE POSSIBLE UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY SWITCHED OFF.
Vehicle Identification:
- Brand Emblem: Located on the front grille.
- Model Name: GV70
- Charging Port: Located on the front of the vehicle.
2. Immobilization / Stabilization / Lifting
Immobilization:
- For vehicles with automatic transmission, press the brake pedal and the P button to engage Park.
- Place wheel chocks and pull the EPB switch to engage the parking brake.
Lifting Points on Underside of Vehicle: Use wooden blocks or similar at the four lifting points for stabilization.
3. Disabling Direct Hazards / Safety Precautions
Important: IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT WHERE AIRBAGS AND SEATBELT PRETENSIONERS WERE ACTIVATED, THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF. FOR ALL OTHER CASES, USE THE DEACTIVATION METHOD DESCRIBED BELOW.
High-Voltage Battery Disconnection:
Access:
- Pull the lever to unlock the hood on the driver's side.
- Go to the front of the vehicle. Press the secondary release lever upwards.
Disconnection Procedure:
- Open the fuse box. Wear a fire-resistant helmet. Pull the HV disconnect switch upwards.
- The HV disconnect switch is located in the fuse box.
- Wait at least 5 minutes after pulling the HV disconnect switch for the capacitor to discharge.
Status Indicators:
- ① HV switched on
- ② HV switched off
Note: The HV disconnect switch is not to be removed.
Disconnecting the 12V Battery
Hold the tailgate opener near the steering wheel or on the tailgate to open the trunk.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
- Disconnect the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Remove the cover.

7. In Water
Warning: Do not touch any high-voltage components or cables, including the disconnect switch, to avoid electric shock. Only work on the vehicle after it has been fully recovered from the water. ⚡
8. Towing / Transport / Storage
Correct Procedure:
- Towing dollies or tow trucks are recommended. Wheels of towed all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles must not have ground contact.
Incorrect Procedure:
- Do not tow the vehicle using the towing hook. The vehicle must not be towed on its front or rear wheels. Otherwise, the vehicle may be damaged. ❌
