Communication in motion

Device Overview

Language can be changed via the Cardo Connect mobile app.

Getting Started

On / Off: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second.

Use while charging: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second.

Pair Mobile Devices

1. Initiate Pairing

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue.

2. Pair Phone

On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices and select "CARDO".

Cancel Pairing

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red.

Add a 2nd Phone / GPS

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (x2) until the LED flashes red and green.

Pair GPS

On your GPS device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "CARDO".

Phone Functions

Share call with DMC group

Bridging active phone calls to the DMC group. Press the control wheel once (x1) to start/stop sharing the call.

Answer a Call

Press any of the buttons once (x1).

Ignore a Call

Press the control wheel once (x1).

Reject a Call

Press any of the 3 buttons for 2 seconds.

End a Call

Press any of the 3 buttons once (x1).

Audio

FM Radio

Music

FM/Music Toggle: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Sharing Audio (When in Bluetooth mode): Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds to start/stop sharing.

DMC Intercom Grouping

Verify you are in DMC Mode: LED flashes green.

Bluetooth / DMC Change Intercom Mode: Press the control wheel once (x1).

Create / Join a new DMC Group

  1. Admin + all group members / new member: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Rapid Flash green).
  2. THEN ONLY ONE GROUP ADMIN: Press the control wheel once (x1) (Flash red).

Cancel Grouping: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Rapid Flash green).

Using DMC Intercom

Talking - always on

Mute Group / Unmute Group: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Private Chat

  1. Choose member for private chat via Mobile App
  2. Start / Stop chat: Press the control wheel twice (x2).

Bridge (add) a non-DMC passenger

  1. First, verify that passenger is paired via Bluetooth (see 2-way Bluetooth intercom pairing).
  2. Start / Stop bridging: Press the control wheel once (x1).

Set a Cardo non DMC Intercom

Verify you are in Bluetooth Mode: LED flashes blue.

Bluetooth / DMC Change Intercom Mode: Press the control wheel once (x1).

2-way pairing

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Flash red). Initiate intercom pairing.

Adding 3rd rider

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Flash red), then press twice (x2) (Flash blue). Initiate intercom pairing.

Adding 4th rider

Rider 2 connects to Rider 3 on Rider 2's free channel.

Set a universal intercom

Verify you are in Bluetooth Mode: LED flashes blue.

Bluetooth / DMC Change Intercom Mode: Press the control wheel once (x1).

2-way pairing

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Flash red), then press once (x1) (Flash red and blue). Initiate phone pairing.

Adding 3rd rider

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (Flash red), then press twice (x2) (Flash blue), then press once (x1) (Flash red). Initiate phone pairing.

Adding 4th rider

Rider 2 connects to Rider 3 on Rider 2's free channel.

Intercom

Start / End / Add Rider 1: Press the control wheel once (x1).

Start / End / Add Rider 2: Press the control wheel twice (x2).

Initiate 4 way intercom Conference

Connects to rider 1 (x1), Connects to rider 3 (x1), Connects to rider 2 (x2).

Voice Commands

Always On!

Just say "HEY CARDO"

Factory Reset

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. LED flashes x5.
