Canon Launches New Satera Printers and MFDs to Boost Office Productivity
Canon Inc. announced the release of 15 new models in its "Satera" series, including the business-oriented A3 color laser printer "Satera LBP853Ci", starting May 16, 2019. This lineup aims to improve productivity across various business sectors such as general offices, retail, healthcare, and pharmacies.

The new lineup includes 3 A3 color laser printers, 5 A4 color multifunction devices, 5 A4 color laser printers, and 2 A4 monochrome laser printers. The "Satera LBP853Ci" boasts a print speed of 46 pages per minute (ppm) for both color and monochrome A4 simplex printing. Its compact body measures approximately 556 (width) x 608 (depth) x 403 (height) mm, making it suitable for limited office spaces. The first print time is also fast, around 6.2 seconds for color and 5.5 seconds for monochrome. The "Satera LBP852Ci" and "Satera LBP851C" offer print speeds of 36 ppm. Optional paper cassettes can increase the paper capacity to 3,320 sheets, supporting high-volume printing needs for documents like prescription bags. The printer supports the free "PosterArtist Lite" software for easy creation of posters up to 1200mm long. They feature a quick warm-up time of 15 seconds or less and a recovery time from sleep mode of 1.6 seconds. The new 5-line monochrome LCD panel enhances usability, providing animated instructions for toner replacement and paper jams, and allowing direct device settings.
