Use & Care
Proper use and care will ensure the longevity and performance of your Trailmate® cooler.
- LED Lights Operation: Lights operate via a push button. The green LED indicator shows standby mode; interior lights turn on when the lid is opened. Lights turn off when the lid is closed or the button is in the OFF position. For longer battery life, store with the push button in the OFF position.
- LED Light Durability: The LED lights are water-resistant, designed for over 36,000 hours of use, and are not removable or replaceable.
- Battery Recommendation: Use only brand new, high-quality alkaline batteries for best performance. Lithium batteries are not recommended. Use identical batteries of the same type, brand, and age. Remove batteries for extended periods of non-use.
- Cleaning: Wipe clean with a wet cloth. Mild soap and water can be used if needed. Tougher stains can be cleaned with a diluted solution of baking soda and water. Rinse thoroughly and ensure the cooler is dry before storage. Opening the drain plug aids drying.
- Important Note: Securely close the drain plug cap before use. DO NOT POWER WASH, PRESSURE WASH, OR SPRAY WATER FROM A HOSE directly onto the lights or battery compartment, as this could damage gaskets and compromise the lighting feature.
- Component Care: Components like the butler tray, food basket, and accessory holders are not dishwasher safe and should be hand-washed with mild soap and water.
- Placement: For optimum cooler performance, avoid placing in direct sunlight. Use in a shaded or covered area if possible.
Warranty Information
Maintain your Proof of Purchase (original receipt) for warranty service.
- Limited Warranty: Igloo Products Corp. warrants electronic components for ninety (90) days and non-electronic parts for one (1) year from the original purchase date against defects in material or workmanship under normal use.
- Exclusions: This warranty does not cover commercial use, damage from abuse, misuse, neglect, accidents, unreasonable use, unauthorized repairs or alterations, or damage from natural events like lightning strikes. Normal wear and tear (dents, scratches, discoloration) is also excluded.
- LED Lighting Warranty: The LED lighting feature is designed for 4.5-volt DC battery operation (3 x 1.5-volt AA batteries). Any alteration will void the warranty for the lighting feature.
- Claims: Contact Igloo Customer Care at 1-800-364-5566 (US) or 1-800-500-5447 (Canada) for warranty service. Do not return the product to the place of purchase or send it back to Igloo unless instructed.
