Safety Precautions
WARNING
- This unit contains small parts which could be a choking hazard for small children. Children should be under adult supervision at all times or serious injury could occur.
- Always unload unit prior to moving the unit. The weight of personal belongings can cause the unit to become unstable and either tip or collapse. Serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings may occur.
- Do not overload unit. If any shelf, top, or bottom of unit bows or bends, it is overloaded. The shelf, top, or bottom could collapse and cause serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings.
- Do not climb or step on the unit. The unit may become unstable and either tip or collapse. Serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings may occur.
- Do not mount or attach anything to the sides, rear or front of the unit as this can create a force which can cause the unit to tip. Serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings may occur.
- Do not hang this unit on the wall. The product structure is not designed for wall hanging. Serious bodily injury, damage to personal belongings, and/or damage to the wall may occur.
- All units must be secured individually to wall stud using L-Bracket and Wall Screw (#10 x 1-1/2 in.) provided. If wall stud is not accessible, consult your local hardware store for appropriate mounting hardware. Failure to do so may create an unsafe tipping hazard that could lead to serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings.
- Follow proper safety procedures when using power tools and ladders.
- We recommend you protect your work surface during assembly to prevent scratching or damage to table tops, wood floors, etc.

Helpful Hints
Finished vs. Unfinished
It is important to understand how finished edges go together. Take a moment to lay out all the wood pieces and note the finished and unfinished (raw wood) edges. Arrange pieces so all finished edges are facing the same way. While assembling, take care to note in each diagram which way finished edges are facing. In general, all finished edges will face forward and all finished sides (large area of piece) will face up when product is fully assembled and upright.
Unfinished surfaces are shaded in gray in diagrams.
Hand Tighten Screws
We recommend you hand-tighten screws. Use care not to overtighten if using power tools.
Step 1: Insert Short Dowels
Push 2 short dowels (EE) into holes of top/bottom panel (B).
Diagram Description: Shows two short dowels (EE) being inserted into the three holes on one side of a top/bottom panel (B). One hole on this side has a middle hole that goes through to the other side.
Note: Install dowels only into one top/bottom panel. Top/bottom panels have three holes on one side with the middle hole going through to the other side.
Step 2: Attach Top Panel and Vertical Divider
Attach top panel (B) to side panel (A). Attach vertical divider (D).
Diagram Description: Shows a side panel (A) and a vertical divider (D) being attached to a top panel (B). The vertical divider (D) is pushed onto dowels in the top panel (B). The top panel (B) is then secured to the side panel (A) with screws (AA). Finished edges are oriented upwards.
Note: Push vertical divider (D) onto dowels in top panel (B). From the opposite side of the top panel, secure the vertical divider (D) with a screw (AA).
Step 3: Insert Long Dowels and Attach Horizontal Divider
Insert long dowels (DD). Attach horizontal divider (C).
Diagram Description: Shows long dowels (DD) being inserted into a vertical divider (D). A horizontal divider (C) is then placed over these dowels. The horizontal divider (C) is secured with screws (AA) through the side panel (A). Finished edges are oriented towards the front.
Note: Push long dowels (DD) into the vertical divider (D). Push the horizontal divider (C) down over the dowels. Secure the horizontal divider (C) with two screws (AA) through the side panel (A). Ensure all finished edges face forward.
Step 4: Install Vertical Dividers and Horizontal Divider
Install vertical divider (D), insert long dowels (DD), attach horizontal divider (C) & install vertical divider (D).
Diagram Description: Shows the process of inserting vertical dividers (D) and horizontal dividers (C) into the structure. Long dowels (DD) are used to connect these pieces. Screws (AA) are used to secure the horizontal dividers (C) to the side panels (A). Ensure all finished edges face forward.
Note: Push vertical dividers (D) onto dowels. Push long dowels (DD) into vertical dividers (D). Push horizontal dividers (C) down over dowels. Secure horizontal dividers (C) with two screws (AA) through side panels (A). Push vertical dividers (D) onto dowels.
Step 5: Insert Short Dowels and Attach Top Panel and Side Panel
Insert short dowels (EE). Attach top panel (B) and other side panel (A).
Diagram Description: Shows short dowels (EE) being inserted into the top vertical divider (D). The top panel (B) is then aligned and placed onto the dowels. The top panel (B) is secured with screws (AA) through the side panel (A). The top vertical divider (D) is secured with a screw (AA) through the top panel (B). Finally, the other side panel (A) is attached. Finished edges are oriented towards the front.
Note: Push short dowels (EE) into the top vertical divider (D). Align holes in the underside of the top panel (B) and place the top panel (B) into position. Secure the top panel (B) with two screws (AA) through the side panel (A). Secure the top vertical divider (D) with one screw (AA) through the top panel (B). Attach the other side panel (A).
Step 6: Attach Back Panels and Screw Covers
Push on screw covers (BB). Attach back panels (E).
Diagram Description: Shows the unit laid face down with unfinished edges facing up. Screw covers (BB) are pushed onto all visible screw heads. Back panels (E) are positioned in a staggered pattern and nailed into place using nails (FF).
Note: Lay unit so finished (front) edges face down (unfinished edges will face up). Push screw covers (BB) onto all screw heads. Position the back panels (E) in a staggered pattern as shown. Nail the back panels (E) into place through the holes provided, being careful not to angle the nails.
Step 7: Install Dowels or Hole Plugs
Install dowels (EE) or hole plugs (CC).
Diagram Description: Shows the completed unit. For single units, hole plugs (CC) are inserted into the top holes. For stacking units, dowels (EE) are inserted into the top holes.
Note: For single unit: Insert hole plugs (CC) into the top holes. For stacking units: Insert dowels (EE) into the top holes.
Step 8: Attach Unit to Wall
Attach unit to wall (at wall stud location).
Diagram Description: Shows the unit being secured to a wall stud. An L-bracket (II) is attached to the top panel/shelf (B) using a 1/2 inch screw (GG). The L-bracket (II) is then secured to the wall stud using a 1-1/2 inch wall screw (HH). The unit should be aligned with the wall stud. The bracket should be mounted through an open cube without a back panel.
WARNING: All units MUST be fastened to the wall. When stacking units, the unit on the bottom must be attached to the wall first before setting another unit on top. Do not stack units more than 72 in. high.
Note: Align center of unit with wall stud. Place short end of L-bracket (II) against wall/wall stud. Use 1-1/2 in. screw (HH) to secure L-bracket (II) to wall stud. Use 1/2 in. screw (GG) to secure L-bracket (II) to top panel (B).
