Although the maximum connectable capacity can exceed rated, the outdoor unit cannot provide more than 100% of the rated capacity. Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC advises utilizing this over capacity capability for load shedding or applications where it is known that all connected units will NOT be operating at the same time.
