When disconnected, the hand-held part of this shaving appliance may be used in a bath or shower. For safety reasons this appliance can only be operated cordless.

- To recharge the battery, only use the detachable power supply provided with this appliance. If the appliance is marked 492, only use Braun power supplies coded 492-XXXX.

Product Usage and Care
This product is for household use only.
Caution:
- Keep power supply and charging stand dry.
- Do not expose the appliance to temperatures higher than 50° C / 122° F for extended periods of time.
- The brush (03-BR) must not be used on damaged or irritated skin or on wounds. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use.
- Avoid direct contact with eyes and hairline.
- When the distance comb is removed, the trimmer should not be pressed into the skin. Risk of injury!
- The body trimmer (06-BDT) must only be used with comb attachment in delicate areas.
Important:
- Do not open the appliance! The built-in rechargeable batteries can only be replaced by an authorized Braun Service center.
- Only at the end of the product's useful life, disassemble the rechargeable battery for disposal reasons: Disassemble the housing as shown in the battery removal pictures, remove the rechargeable battery and recycle or dispose of properly, according to local guidelines. Caution: Disassembling the appliance will destroy it and invalidate the warranty.
- The shaver head needs cleaning under hot running water after each foam or gel usage!
- The brush (03-BR) needs to be cleaned with cool running water after each usage! Switch the shaver on and rinse until all residues have been removed. The manual shows a sequence of numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 1, 3, 2, 4, 315...) which may indicate usage cycles or cleaning steps for the brush.
- For hygienic reasons, do not share this appliance with other persons.

Product Components and Indicators
Display: Shows shaver status.
Battery indicator: Shows the charge level of the battery.
Plug indicator: Indicates connection status to the power outlet.
Travel lock indicator: Indicates if the travel lock is active (press and hold for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate).
Replacement indicator: Signals when the foil and cutter block (53B) should be replaced (typically after 18 months of use). A replacement date can be noted below the part reference number.
Cleaning indicator: Reminds you to clean the shaver.

Trimmer Lengths (02-PT): 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm.
Body Trimmer (06-BDT) Comb: 3 mm for delicate areas.
3-Day Beard Trimmer (08-3DBT): Adjustable settings I, II, III, IIII (0.5-2.3 mm).
Operations
Charging
Charge the shaver using the provided power supply. Recommended charging temperature: 5°C - 35°C (41°F - 95°F).
A full charge takes approximately 1 hour and provides power for shaving.
Usage
The shaver can be used cordless.
Cleaning
Manual Cleaning:
- Rinse the shaver head under hot running water after each use with foam or gel.
- Rinse the brush (03-BR) under cool running water after each use.
- Switch the shaver on while rinsing to remove all residues.
Battery Replacement:
The built-in rechargeable battery should only be replaced by an authorized Braun Service center. For service, visit www.service.braun.com.

2 year limited warranty (foil and cutter block excluded)
Braun warrants this shaver (except foil and cutter block) to be free of defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase date. Braun will repair or replace defective units at its option. This warranty does not cover foil/cutter damage, accident, misuse, abuse, water damage, tampering, unreasonable use, normal wear, unauthorized servicing, or failure to provide maintenance. Implied warranties are limited to 2 years. Braun is not responsible for consequential damages.
Canada Warranty
2 year limited warranty (foil and cutter block excluded)
Braun Canada warrants this shaver to be free of defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase date. Braun Canada will repair or replace defective units at its option. This warranty does not cover damage from dropping, tampering, wrong current, unauthorized servicing, misuse, abuse, foil kinks, or normal wear of shearing parts.
