Golf Rangefinder User Manual

A. INTRODUCTION

When the device is without power, it is a precise optical telescope, which can observe the object through the eyepiece. When the observation is blurred, the visibility can be adjusted by rotating the eyepiece to obtain the clear view.

The ranging scope depends on the Model No. of the Rangefinder, the size and the nature of the target object and the weather conditions.

Device Components:

B. WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Rangefinder uses a safe 905nanometer laser that is safe for human eyes, invisible and meets the standard of Class I. First, calculate the time from launch to the returned time after encountering the target object. Second, multiply the time and the speed of the light together, then divided by 2 to obtain the distance of the target object.

Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates the concept of measuring distance. It shows a rangefinder, a target object, and the different distances measured: Straight Line Distance, Horizontal Distance, and Vertical Height Difference. An angle is also indicated.

D. ATTENTIONS

  1. The product uses a 3.7V battery, which is rechargeable. Exceeding the permissible voltage or a wrong supply voltage will damage the precise measuring parts inside the device.
  2. Please do not observe the sun through the eyepiece, as the focused sunlight may cause permanent damage to the eyes, and also may cause irreversible damage to the internal optical sensitive parts.
  3. Avoid placing the device below -20°C or above 60°C, which will cause damage to the device.
  4. If there is no operation within 20 seconds, the device will shut down automatically. Please do not long press the "ACTION/ON" Button.
  5. Do not observe through the dividing glass.

E. UNIT CONVERSION

Two alternative units, M (Meter) and Y (Yard), are provided in this device. The default unit is M (Meter). Press the "Power" Button and the "MODE" Button simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch the unit of the distance. If you want to switch back, please repeat the steps.

F. Slope off/on

When the angle is on, all modes are available. When the angle is off, the available modes are: single distance measurement mode, speed measurement mode, golf flagstick lock mode, memory storage mode.

Diagram Description: The diagrams show the display when the slope is 'on' and 'off', indicating the change in the displayed information and the corresponding physical switch on the device.

G. MEASUREMENT MODE AND OPERATION

1. Ranging Mode (Measure the distance from rangefinder to target)

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. The interface will be displayed. Select the target object and aim the target indicator at the target object.
  3. Press the "Power" button to measure.
  4. The data will be displayed on the screen.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for ranging mode, showing the display at each step.

2. All-in-one Mode (Measure the straight line distance, angle, vertical distance & horizontal distance)

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The interface will be displayed. Select the target object and aim.
  4. Press the "Power" button to measure.
  5. The data will be displayed on the screen. (Battery status is displayed when the battery is low.)

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for the all-in-one mode, showing the display at each step.

3. Scanning Measurement Mode (Continuous measure straight line distance, angle, vertical distance & horizontal distance)

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The interface will be displayed. Select the target object and aim the target indicator at the target object.
  4. Press the "Power" button to measure.
  5. The data will be displayed on the screen.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for scanning measurement mode, showing the display at each step.

4. Two Points Height Measurement Mode (This mode can measure the vertical height difference between two targets)

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The interface will be displayed. Select the target object and aim the target indicator at the first point for measurement.
  4. Press the "Power" button to measure.
  5. The slope distance flashes, aim the target indicator at the second point for measurement.
  6. Press the "Power" Button again to measure.
  7. The slope distance to the second point, the horizontal distance and the height difference between the two points will be displayed on the screen.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for the two points height measurement mode, showing the display at each step.

5. Speed Measurement Mode (The Speed Of The Target Object Can Be Calculated By Measuring The Distance From The Rangefinder To The Target Object Two Times And The Time Interval)

The speed measurement mode can measure the speed of the target object moving in radial motion. The speed of the target object moving in parallel cannot be measured because the distance from the target object to the rangefinder has not been changed.

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The interface will be displayed. Select the target object and aim the target indicator at the target object.
  4. Press the "Power" button to measure.
  5. The laser indicator flashes and enters the continuous measurement state, and the data is obtained.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for speed measurement mode, showing the display at each step. It also includes a formula for calculating speed: v = (d2-d1) / t.

6. Golf Distance Compensation Mode (Take The Distance Measurement Value And The Slope Value (<±20°) Into The Golf Flight Trajectory Algorithm, And It Will Provide The User With The Recommended Hitting Distance)

When the slope on/off switch is turned on, the angle and the recommended hitting distance will be displayed during measurement. However, when there is a slope behind, and the rangefinder cannot lock the flagpole, you can long press the "ACTION/ON” Button to scan the slope behind the flagpole first, then scan the flagpole with holding the "ACTION/ON” Button. The rangefinder will lock the flagpole and vibrate at the same time to obtain the data.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for golf distance compensation mode, showing the display at each step. It also provides notes on how the slope affects the ball's trajectory and how to use slope compensation.

7. Storage Mode (Ten Group Of Distance Measurement Value Can Be Saved)

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The first group of slope distance will be displayed in the interface.
  4. Press the "Power" Button continuously to view other groups of slope distance.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate the sequence of operations for storage mode, showing the display at each step.

H. ANGLE CALIBRATION

When it is found that the angle is misaligned or the error of the height measurement increases or other situation, the angle should be calibrated.

Operation Steps:

  1. Press the "Power" Button to start.
  2. Press the "MODE" Button to switch the measurement mode.
  3. The interface will be displayed like this.
  4. Long press the "MODE" Button to start angle calibration.
  5. The angle 0°0 flashes once in one second.
  6. Place the Rangefinder on a horizontal tabletop or a tripod with adjusted horizontal angle.
  7. Long Press the “MODE” Button to complete angle calibration.
  8. The angle value should be displayed as 0°0 in the horizontal situation after angle calibration.

In the calibration interface, short press the "MODE" or "Power" Button to exit the calibration interface.
