Assembly

Assembly requires two persons. Clear an area and remove packing materials. Do not dispose of packing materials until assembly is complete. The walking belt is pre-lubricated; wipe off any excess lubricant with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.

Tools required: Included hex keys, Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench, needlenose pliers, scissors.

Hardware is identified by key number and quantity. Check if parts are pre-attached. Do not use power tools for assembly.

Hardware List:

Assembly Steps:

  1. Ensure power cord is unplugged. Tip treadmill onto its left side. Partially fold the frame. Locate and route the Upright Wire (85) through the base. Attach wheels (95) using wheel axles (97) and wheel housings (96) to the base (94).
  2. Attach four Base Feet (92) to the base (94) using #8 x 1" Tek Screws (2). Cut plastic tie near Upright Wire (85).
  3. Identify the Right Upright Spacer (91) (marked "Right"). Insert Upright Wire (85) through it and place on Base (94).
  4. Identify the Right Upright (83) (marked "Right"). Have a helper hold it. Securely tie the wire tie around the Upright Wire (85) and route it through the Right Upright.
  5. Insert Bolt Spacers (88) and 3/8" x 5 1/2" Patch Bolts (7) with 3/8" Star Washers (11) into the lower end of the Right Upright (83). Attach Right Upright (83) to the Right Upright Spacer (91), being careful not to pinch wires. Tighten bolts until they touch the upright, but do not fully tighten yet.
  6. Tip treadmill onto its right side. Orient Left Upright Spacer (90) and place on Base (94). Insert Bolt Spacers (88) and 3/8" x 5 1/2" Patch Bolts (7) with 3/8" Star Washers (11) into the lower end of the Left Upright (82). Attach Left Upright (82) to the Left Upright Spacer (90). Tighten bolts until they touch the upright, but do not fully tighten yet.
  7. Attach the Base Cover (84) to the Base (94) with four #8 x 1/2" Screws (1). Tip treadmill so base is flat on the floor.
  8. Slide Right Upright Cover (86) onto Right Upright (83) and Left Upright Cover (87) onto Left Upright (82).
  9. Set console assembly face down. Identify Right Handrail (79). Route console wire through handrail. Attach Right Handrail (79) to Console Frame (81) using 1/4" x 1/2" Patch Bolt (8) with 1/4" Star Washer (12), and two 5/16" x 1 1/2" Patch Bolts (4) with 5/16" Star Washers (9). Ensure wire is not pinched. Tighten bolts. Attach Left Handrail similarly.
  10. With a helper, hold console assembly near uprights. Connect Upright Wire (85) to console wire. Ensure connectors snap into place. If not, turn one connector. Improper connection can damage the console. Remove wire tie.
  11. Set console assembly on Left and Right Uprights (82, 83). Insert excess wire into Right Upright. Attach using two 5/16" x 3/4" Bolts (5) with 5/16" Star Washers (9) into the Right Upright (83), and one 5/16" x 1 1/2" Patch Bolt (4). Repeat on the left side. Firmly tighten all six bolts.
  12. Tighten all Patch Bolts from steps 5 and 6. Attach Left Accessory Tray (101) and Right Accessory Tray (104) to the console assembly with eight #8 x 1/2" Screws (1).
  13. Turn on power. Lower incline to lowest position. Remove key, switch circuit breaker off, and unplug. Raise Frame (55). Have a helper hold it. Orient Storage Latch (51). Attach upper end of Storage Latch (51) to Frame (55) with 3/8" x 1 3/4" Patch Bolt (6). Attach lower end to Base (94) with 3/8" x 2" Bolt (3) and 3/8" Nut (10). Align latch with base. Lower Frame (55).
  14. Ensure all parts are tightened. Remove protective plastic from decals. Place a mat under the treadmill. Keep hex keys secure.

Operation and Adjustment

The Pre-Lubricated Walking Belt

The walking belt is coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or platform, as this will deteriorate them and cause excessive wear.

How to Plug in the Power Cord

? DANGER: Improper grounding can increase the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about grounding. Do not modify the plug.

Your treadmill is designed for a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding plug. Sudden voltage changes can damage electronic equipment. Always use a surge suppressor (UL 1449 listed TVSS, 400V or less, 450 joules minimum dissipation, 120V AC, 15 amp rated, with monitoring light). The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets.

A temporary adapter can be used for 2-pole receptacles if a properly grounded outlet is not available, but it must be connected to a permanent ground (e.g., outlet box cover) and secured with a metal screw. Contact an electrician to verify outlet box grounding.

Diagram Description: Two diagrams illustrate electrical outlet configurations. Diagram 1 shows a properly grounded outlet with a surge suppressor. Diagram 2 shows the use of a temporary adapter to connect a surge suppressor to a 2-pole receptacle.

Folding and Moving the Treadmill

How to Fold the Treadmill for Storage

❗ IMPORTANT: Adjust incline to lowest position before folding. Remove key and unplug power cord. You must be able to lift 45 lbs. (20 kg).

  1. Hold the metal frame firmly (do not lift by foot rails). Bend legs, keep back straight. Raise frame halfway to vertical.

Exercise Guidelines

⚠️ WARNING: Before beginning this or any exercise program, consult your physician. This is especially important for persons over age 35 or persons with pre-existing health problems.

The pulse sensor is not a medical device. Factors like movement can affect accuracy. It's intended as an exercise aid for determining heart rate trends.

These guidelines help plan your exercise program. For detailed information, consult a reputable book or your physician. Proper nutrition and rest are essential.

Exercise Intensity

To burn fat or strengthen your cardiovascular system, proper intensity is key. Use your heart rate as a guide. The chart below shows recommended heart rates for fat burning and aerobic exercise.

Age (Rounded)Fat Burning (Low)Max Fat Burning (Mid)Aerobic Exercise (High)
20100130160
3095125155
4090120150
5085115145
6080110140
7075105135
8070100130

To find your intensity level, locate your age at the bottom. The three numbers above your age define your "training zone": lowest for fat burning, middle for maximum fat burning, and highest for aerobic exercise.

Burning Fat

For effective fat burning, exercise at low intensity for a sustained period. After using carbohydrate calories, your body uses stored fat. Adjust intensity until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone. For maximum fat burning, aim for the middle number.

Aerobic Exercise

To strengthen your cardiovascular system, perform aerobic exercise (activity requiring large amounts of oxygen for prolonged periods). Adjust intensity until your heart rate is near the highest number in your training zone.

Workout Guidelines

Exercise Frequency

Complete three workouts per week with at least one rest day between them to maintain or improve condition. After a few months, you may increase to five workouts per week. Make exercise a regular and enjoyable part of your life.
