1. Charge Your Clip
Your new CLIP is rechargeable with the included charging cable. Ensure your CLIP is fully charged before first use.
How to charge:
- Plug the USB end into a power adapter or a USB port (e.g., your laptop).
- Plug the USB-C end into the CLIP device.
- The LEDs on the CLIP will pulsate while charging and illuminate a solid light when fully charged.
Note: The battery cannot be removed and is not replaceable. Opening or tampering with the device voids the warranty.
2. Works with Apple Find My
Pebblebee CLIP works with the Apple Find My network, utilizing advanced end-to-end encryption and industry-leading security. Locate your belongings in the Find My app with protected privacy.
Important: CLIP can be used with either the Apple Find My network OR the Pebblebee App. Using one network prohibits the use of the other. You cannot operate simultaneously on both networks. To switch networks, you must reset the device to factory settings. Learn more at: pebblebee.com/clip
The "Works with Apple" badge signifies that the product is designed to work with the Apple Find My network and meets Apple's product specifications and requirements. Apple is not responsible for the operation or compliance of this product.
Set up CLIP in the Find My app:
- Double-press the Pebblebee logo on the front of the CLIP. You will hear a confirmation sound.
- Open the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad and tap '+'.
- Tap 'Add Other Item' and follow the on-screen instructions.
How to remove CLIP from the Find My app:
- Navigate to the item's page in the Find My app.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Tap 'Remove item', then confirm by tapping 'Remove'.
3. Works with Pebblebee App
Please Note: If you choose to use the Pebblebee App, you will not have access to the Apple Find My network.
- Download the free Pebblebee App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Follow the in-app instructions for setup.
- Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and that you have granted location permissions to the Pebblebee app. For assistance, visit our setup guide at help.pebblebee.com.
- Allow the Pebblebee app to always access your location. This enables the app to locate your valuables at all times and notify you of the last known location if an item is lost.
- Attach the CLIP to anything you wish to track.
4. Factory Resetting Your CLIP
To transfer ownership or switch between the Apple Find My network and the Pebblebee network, factory reset your CLIP:
- Locate the Pebblebee logo on the front of the CLIP.
- Triple-press the logo (3 times), then press and hold for 10 seconds. You will hear a confirmation sound.
This resets the device, allowing you to use it with either the Apple Find My network or the Pebblebee App.
5. Use and Care
Ensure proper operation of your CLIP device.
Water Resistance
The CLIP has an IPX6 rating for water resistance, meaning it can withstand high-pressure, heavy sprays of water. It is not safe for swimming.
Environmental Requirements
Store and operate the CLIP within the following temperature ranges to ensure optimal functionality. Avoid freezing and extremely hot temperatures.
- Operating temperature: 5 °F to 113 °F (-15 °C to 43 °C)
- Storage temperature: -4 °F to 130 °F (-20 °C to 54 °C)
Make sure the device is dry before charging. Charging a wet device voids the warranty.
6. Limited Warranty
Pebblebee offers a 1-year limited warranty against product defects, effective from the date of delivery. Product defects do not include issues arising from accidents, water damage, product modification, or failure to follow instructions. Pebblebee will replace a deemed defective product upon receipt.
Contact support@pebblebee.com if you believe your device is defective. The support team can resolve most issues and provide exchange instructions for devices within the warranty period.
7. Safe Electrical Disposal
When your device reaches the end of its useful life, please dispose of it at your local e-waste center for proper recycling and disposal, protecting our environment. Contact your local authorities to find a certified e-waste center near you.
