Operation Instructions
On and Off the Air-Conditioner
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the indoor unit on or off. The operating icon will light up when the unit is on and turn off when the unit is off.
Set the Operating Mode
Press the MODE button to cycle through the operating modes: AUTO→COOL→DRY→HEAT→FAN→AUTO. Note: HEAT mode is not available in cool-only settings.
Auto Operation Mode (3-pipe system)
In 3-pipe system auto operation, the unit can automatically switch between COOL and HEAT modes based on the temperature difference between the set temperature (Ts) and indoor temperature (Tf). Fan speed is adjustable.
- Heating mode is activated when Ts-Tf > ΔT.
- Cooling mode is activated when Ts-Tf < -ΔT.
- Minimum operating mode switching interval is 15 minutes.
- The AUTO icon will flash, and COOL or HEAT icon will light up based on the actual operation mode.
- The default ΔT is 2°C, adjustable from 1°C to 4°C. Refer to the 'WIRED REMOTE CONTROLLER INITIAL PARAMETER SETTING' section for details.
- Auto operation mode cannot be changed by other control terminals (e.g., wireless remote controller).
CAUTION: For a 2-pipe system, set the controller to 2-pipe system mode. Refer to the INSTALLATION MANUAL for details. In 2-pipe system auto operation, the unit operates in COOL mode with auto fan speed, which is not adjustable.
Fan Speed Setting
Under COOL, HEAT, and FAN modes, press the FAN SPEED button to adjust fan speed: AUTO→LOW→MID→HIGH→AUTO. Fan speed is not adjustable under AUTO and DRY modes; the default is AUTO.
Temperature Setting
Under AUTO, COOL, DRY, and HEAT modes, use the temperature setting buttons (▲/▼) to set the temperature between 17°C~30°C (62°F~88°F). Temperature cannot be adjusted in FAN mode.
Timer On and Timer Off Setting
Press the timer/clock setting button to enter timer setting status. The screen will display timer icons and time. Use ▲/▼ buttons to adjust the timer. For settings less than 10 hours, adjustments are in 0.5-hour increments. For settings over 10 hours, adjustments are in 1-hour increments, up to a maximum of 24 hours. Press /OK or wait 5 seconds to confirm and exit.
The setting method for timer off is the same as timer on. Setting timer on and off to 0.0h cancels the timer functions.
CAUTION: If the timer is set and the unit is turned on/off using the ON/OFF button, the timer will be canceled simultaneously.
Clock Setting
Long press the timer/clock setting button for 2 seconds to enter clock setting status. Use ▲/▼ buttons to adjust the hour. Use the left/right buttons to switch to minute adjustment, then use ▲/▼ to adjust the minute. Press /OK or wait 5 seconds to confirm and exit.
Quiet Operation
Under COOL, HEAT, and FAN modes, press the /OK button to activate quiet operation, which reduces noise by setting the fan speed to low. The /OK button does not work under AUTO and DRY modes, as the fan speed is auto.
Lock the Wired Remote Controller
Simultaneously press the temperature adjusting buttons (▲ and ▼) to enter the locking state. The lock icon (?) will be lighted up. In the locked state, the controller will not respond to button presses or instructions from a wireless remote controller. Simultaneously press the temperature adjusting buttons (▲ and ▼) again to cancel the locking state.
Air Filter Cleaning Reminding Function
The wired remote controller records the total running time of the indoor unit. When the accumulated running time reaches the pre-set value, the air filter cleaning reminding icon (?) will light up. Long press the FAN SPEED button and Quiet /OK button for 2 seconds to reset the reminding icon, and the controller will re-accumulate the total running time.
CAUTION: The default setting for the reminding function is 2500 hours. It can be changed to 1250, 5000, or 10000 hours. Refer to the installation manual for setting methods.
Swing Function
