Connectors
The soundbar features the following connectors on the back panel:
- 1. Power Connector: For connecting the power cord.
- 2. USB Port: Type A, 5V DC, 0.5A rating. Supports MP3 file formats.
- 3. Ethernet Port: For network connection.
- 4. HDMI Input (x3): For connecting external audio/video sources.
- 5. TV ARC / TV eARC HDMI: For connecting to your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC port.
- 6. OPTICAL Input: For connecting to your TV's optical audio output.
Remote Control
The remote control allows you to manage various functions:
- 1. On / Standby: Powers the unit on or puts it into standby mode.
- 2. Volume +/-: Adjusts the audio volume.
- 3. Mute / Unmute: Silences or resumes audio output.
- 4. Dolby Atmos®: Activates or adjusts Dolby Atmos settings.
- 5. Bass: Adjusts the bass level.
- 6. Surround Sound: Controls surround sound settings, particularly for rear speakers.
- 7. Sound Calibration: Initiates the sound calibration process.
- 8. Moment (Quick Access): Allows quick access to saved sound profiles.
- 9. Playback Control: Controls playback for connected devices (play, pause, skip).
- 10. HDMI Input Source: Selects the HDMI input source.
- 11. Bluetooth Source: Selects the Bluetooth audio source.
- 12. TV Source: Selects the TV audio source (e.g., ARC/eARC, Optical).
Wall Mounting
Instructions for securely mounting the soundbar to a wall:
- Attach the wall mounting brackets to the desired location on the wall, ensuring they are level and spaced correctly (647 mm / 25.47" apart). Use appropriate anchors and screws for your wall type.
- Insert the soundbar's mounting screws into the brackets.
- Slide the soundbar onto the mounted brackets until it clicks into place.
- For detachable surround speakers, use the provided brackets and screws to mount them on the wall behind the listening position. Ensure a minimum distance of 120mm (4.7") from the top of the soundbar to the TV.
Refer to the diagrams for precise placement and screw sizes.
Connect (for eARC TV)
To connect your soundbar to a TV with eARC support:
- Connect an HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI eARC port to the soundbar's TV ARC/TV eARC HDMI port.
- Ensure your TV's audio output is set to eARC or ARC and that the HDMI control is enabled on your TV.
Connect (for ARC TV)
To connect your soundbar to a TV with ARC support:
- Connect an HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI ARC port to the soundbar's TV ARC/TV eARC HDMI port.
- Ensure your TV's audio output is set to ARC and that the HDMI control is enabled on your TV.
Note: The asterisk (*) indicates that the HDMI cable may be included or may need to be purchased separately depending on the region.
Power On & Charge
Connect the power cord to the soundbar and subwoofer. The detachable surround speakers can be charged by connecting them to the soundbar or via a USB-C cable (not included).

Sound Calibration
Calibrate the sound system for optimal audio performance in your room:
- Place the detachable surround speakers in your listening positions (marked 'L' and 'R').
- Press the Sound Calibration button ? on the remote control. The soundbar will emit test tones.
- The soundbar display will show '1-CALIBRATION' and then '1-DONE' upon successful completion of the first calibration stage.
- For the second calibration stage (if applicable, e.g., for different listening positions), repeat the process. The display will show '2-CALIBRATION' and then '2-DONE'.
During sound calibration, environmental sound will be recorded. Press the calibration button again to confirm and listen to the recorded audio (US version only).
Bluetooth Pairing (Rear Speaker)
To pair a mobile device with the rear speaker via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the rear speaker is powered on and in pairing mode (indicated by a blue flashing light).
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth ON.
- Select 'BAR 1300XMK2 REAR SPK' from the list of available devices.
- The status will change to 'Connected'.
Stereo Pairing (Rear Speakers)
To pair the two detachable surround speakers for stereo sound:
- Ensure both speakers are powered on.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button ➿ on each speaker for more than 5 seconds until they connect to each other.
- A confirmation sound or light indicator will signal a successful connection.
Multi-Speaker Connection (Rear Speakers)
The soundbar supports connecting multiple JBL speakers for a synchronized audio experience. Follow the instructions within the JBL ONE app for setup.

- Connect your Android or iOS device to your Wi-Fi network.
- Follow the app instructions to complete speaker setup, access features, and manage settings.
