Safety Instruction and Warranty Card

Introduction

What is hearing loss? Hearing loss is defined as a puretone average of hearing thresholds greater than 25 dB hearing level (HL) in both ears, as per World Health Organization criteria.

What are hearing aids? OTC Intelligent Hearing Aids are wearable sound-amplifying devices that use air-conduction to compensate for impaired hearing.

Intended Use

Medical purpose: OTC Intelligent Hearing Aids are intended to amplify sound for individuals 18 years of age or older with perceived mild to moderate hearing impairment. They are for direct-to-consumer sale and use without a hearing care professional.

Intended patients and environment: Suitable for indoor and outdoor use by individuals 18 years or older with mild to moderate hearing impairment.

Side effects

  • Skin sensitivity to silicon material may cause ear canal pruritus.
  • Initial use may cause temporary maladjustment, such as slight ear canal pain.

Important Safety Instructions

Read all information in the manual and included literature before use.

Contraindication

  • Not suitable for users with chronic suppurative otitis media or congenital ear atresia.
  • OTC Intelligent Hearing Aids are for compensating hearing impairment only, not for therapeutic value.
