Three-Year Warranty
Tesmen offers a three-year warranty covering free repair of all defects attributable to faulty materials or workmanship. This warranty is valid from the date of purchase, provided that:
- The proof of purchase is presented.
- Unauthorized persons have not attempted any maintenance or repairs.
- The product has not been misused.
- Damage caused by neglect, misuse, contamination, alteration, or accidents is not covered.
- Wear and tear from abnormal operation is not covered by the warranty.

Safety Instructions

- When operating the tester, follow the instructions in the manual precisely, as failure to do so may impair and deactivate the protection provided by the tester.
- To ensure proper use of the tester, read the operating manual carefully before use and pay close attention to the safety rules, precautions, and warnings contained therein.
- Do not use the tester if the screen displays nothing.
- Do not use the tester if it is damaged or not functioning properly.
- Check the probe for dirt, cracks, or breaks before use. If you suspect a problem, please send it for repair in a timely manner.
- The test results of the pen tester are for reference only, and the company assumes no liability for personal injury and property damage resulting from the customer's use of the test pen for final decision-making.
- When using the test pen to detect liquids, the metal part of the test pen probe must be fully immersed in the liquid, otherwise the detection effect will be affected.
- Before using the test pen, comply with local and national safety regulations and use the protective equipment prescribed by local or national authorities.
Counter Structure
The tester consists of the following parts:
- 1 Sonde: The detection probe.
- 2 Display: The digital screen showing test results and status.
- 3 Netzschalter (Power Switch): Used to turn the device on and off.
- 4 Funktionstaste (Function Button): Used for various functions like data hold and changing fluid types.
- 5 Batteriefachdeckel (Battery Compartment Cover): Covers the battery compartment.
Overview and Operation
Turning On/Off
To Turn On: Press and hold the power switch [power-symbol] for more than 1 second. After the buzzer sounds, the screen will light up and enter the test state. When the device is turned on, the brake fluid type is set to DOT3 by default.
To Turn Off: Press the power switch [power-symbol] to turn off the tester.
Automatic Shut-off
When the tester is turned on, an automatic shut-off icon [power-symbol] will be displayed. If no test is performed within 5 minutes of turning on the tester, it will automatically shut off to extend battery life.
Data Hold
Press and hold the function button [S-symbol] for a long time. The screen will display "H", indicating that the data is being held. Press and hold the function button [S-symbol] again for a long time to cancel the data hold function. The brake fluid type will not change.
Alternatively, press and hold the function button [S-symbol]. The screen will display "H". A short press of the function button [S-symbol] will cancel the data hold function, and the brake fluid type will change.
Function Button
When the tester is turned on, the default brake fluid type detected by the probe is DOT3. Briefly press the function button [S-symbol] to change the brake fluid type to DOT4 or DOT5.1.
Low Battery
When the battery voltage is below 2.6V, a low battery icon [battery-symbol] will be displayed. When the battery voltage is below 2.4V, the detector will automatically shut off. Therefore, replace the battery promptly when a low voltage is indicated.
Moisture Detection
WARNING
Always protect the detection head. If the metal probe is corroded, scratched, or oxidized, the detection accuracy may be affected. Clean the detection head after testing, otherwise the test result may be affected.
- After starting, select the type of brake oil to be tested. Ensure the probe is clean before testing.
- Immerse the metal part of the detection head in the tested liquid for 3 seconds until the display is stable. Observe the condition and read the numerical value.
- 0-2% Moisture: The background light is bright green, indicating that the brake oil can still be used.
- 2-3% Moisture: The background light is yellow and the buzzer sounds slowly. Please change the brake oil.
- >3% Moisture: The background light is bright red and the buzzer sounds quickly. Please change the brake oil immediately.

Battery Replacement
Unscrew the battery compartment cover as shown below. Remove the old battery and insert the new battery according to the instructions for the positive and negative terminals of the battery.
Cleaning
To clean, wipe the probe head with a damp cloth or a wet paper towel and ensure the probe is completely dry before using it again.
Disposal/Recycling
