Important Information
WARNING: Always concentrate on driving. Use radio functions only when it is safe to do so and you maintain full control of the vehicle.
The volume must be set so that external audible signals (e.g., emergency vehicle sirens) can be heard at all times.
Power Output: 4x20 W
Warranty
Warranty terms for the equipment are the same as for new vehicles. Repairs after warranty expiration may use reconditioned original parts. The housing must not be damaged, and unauthorized repair attempts must not have been made.
Note: Warranty damage must not result from improper handling or unprofessional repair attempts. External damage is also a factor.
Anti-theft Protection
Anti-theft Coding
The radio is equipped with convenience coding, storing the safety code in the instrument cluster. After reconnecting the battery, switch on the ignition and then the radio. If installing in another vehicle, the safety code must be entered. Contact a Škoda Service Partner for assistance.
Note: Manual code input is usually not necessary due to automatic decoding.
Enter Code
- Switch on the radio with the ignition on. "SAFE" and then "1000" will be displayed.
- Enter the safety code using station keys 1-4.
- Confirm the code by pressing station key 6.
If a code is entered incorrectly, the process can be repeated. A second incorrect entry blocks the unit for approximately one hour. The cycle of two attempts followed by a one-hour block applies.
Basic Setting
Switching the Unit On and Off
The system is switched on or off by turning/pressing the rotary/push knob (1). The unit switches off automatically when the ignition key is removed. It can be switched back on by pressing the knob. If the ignition is off, the unit switches off automatically after about one hour to protect the vehicle battery.
Audio Settings
Press the rocker switch ♫ repeatedly to select a parameter (TRE for Treble, BASS for Bass, BAL for balance between left/right, FAD for balance between front/rear). Set the desired value using the rotary/push knob (1).
Setting the Special Functions
Press the rocker switch MENU to activate the Set-up menu. Select functions using MENU or rocker switches ◀ / ▶. Set values with the rotary/push knob (1).
REG AUTO / REG OFF
This function manages regional program broadcasts. REG AUTO switches to a regional station only if the current station is at risk of being lost. REG OFF allows unlimited access to regional stations.
GALA
Automatically increases radio volume with increasing vehicle speed. Higher settings result in a stronger volume increase.
LOUD
Enhances bass and treble frequencies at low volume levels.
BEEP
Enables or disables the tone signal when storing radio stations.
ON VOL
Stores the last volume setting. If the stored volume is higher than the ON VOL setting, the volume is reduced to the ON VOL value upon switching on.
PHONE*
If equipped with a handsfree system, mobile phone calls are played through the vehicle loudspeakers.
PDC AT* (Parking Aid)
When parking aid is active, the volume automatically decreases. Options include:
- PDC AT0: No volume restriction.
- PDC AT1: Restricts volume to a middle level.
- PDC AT2: Restricts volume to a low level.
- PDC AT3: Mutes the tone completely.
AUX*
Sets input sensitivity for AUX (AUX LEV):
- AUX LEV 1: High level (e.g., notebooks).
- AUX LEV 2: Middle level (e.g., cassettes, CD players).
- AUX LEV 3: Low level (e.g., MP3 players).
Note: Each setting change is stored when moving to another menu point.

CD Care and AUX-IN Input
Information on How to Use a CD
CD Jump
Uneven road surfaces or vibrations can cause the CD to jump.
Formation of Condensation
Moisture in the CD drive can cause jumping or impair playback. Wait for it to dissipate.
Notes for CD Care
Clean CDs from inside to outside with a soft lint-free cloth. For heavy dirt, use a commercial CD cleaner. Never clean in a circular motion.
Overheating Protection
If the unit temperature exceeds 85°C, CD playback will be stopped for safety.
Caution: Do not use gasoline, paint thinner, or disk cleaner, as they can damage the CD surface. Do not expose CDs to direct sun rays or write on them.
Note: Dirt or damage can cause reading errors, leading to skipping or sticking. Treat CDs carefully and store them in protective cases.
Input AUX-IN
The AUX-IN input for external audio sources is located below the armrest and is marked with the AUX logo.
Activating an External Audio Source
Press button CD, then press CD again to select the external input. Playback starts automatically after connecting the source.
End Play Function of External Source
Press rocker switch A/F to return to the last selected radio station. Press CD to select CD source.
External audio sources connected via AUX-IN are replayed through the vehicle speakers; they cannot be controlled by the radio. The external source remains active in the background.
Use a standard 3.5 mm jack plug. An adapter may be needed.
Adjusting Play Function Volume
The volume of the external audio source can be adjusted using the radio's volume control.
The input sensitivity of the AUX-IN socket can also be adjusted (see page 4) to match volumes or avoid distortion.
WARNING: Do not place external audio sources on the dashboard or near airbags, as they could cause injury during sudden maneuvers or airbag deployment. Ensure connection cables do not restrict driving.
Caution: The AUX-IN socket is for audio sources only.
Note: The radio has no control over the external source's level setting. Ensure a suitable combination of input and output sensitivity for best quality. Signal interruption may occur with external power adapters. Loudspeakers are matched to 30W output.
