Memory Cards

The EOS Kiss X7 is compatible with SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, and SDXC memory cards (UHS-I compatible). For video recording, it is recommended to use cards with a speed of SD Speed Class 6 or higher to ensure smooth recording and playback. Faster cards are also recommended for shooting still images during video recording.

Getting Started: Quick Shooting Guide

  1. Insert Battery: Refer to page 32 for battery insertion and page 30 for charging instructions.
  2. Insert Card: Insert the memory card with the label facing the back of the camera.
  3. Attach Lens: Align the mounting indicators (white or red) on the lens and camera body and attach the lens.
  4. Set Focus Mode: Set the lens focus mode switch to 'AF'.
  5. Power On: Turn the power switch to 'ON'. If the date/time/area setting screen appears, follow the instructions on page 37.
  6. Set Mode Dial: Set the mode dial to 'A' (Scene Intelligent Auto) for automatic settings.
  7. Focus: Look through the viewfinder and position the subject in the center of the frame. Lightly press the shutter button to focus. The built-in flash may pop up as needed.
  8. Shoot: Press the shutter button fully to take the picture.
  9. Review Image: The captured image will be displayed on the LCD monitor for two seconds. Press the <0> button to view it again.

For shooting using the LCD monitor, refer to 'Live View Shooting' (p.149). To review previously taken images, see 'Image Playback' (p.89). To delete images, refer to 'Delete' (p.268).
