Introduction
This document provides essential information for quickly setting up and using your Datalogic Memor 3X device. It covers unboxing, device overview, battery installation, charging, SIM/SD card insertion, and basic scanning operations.

Out of the Box
The Memor 3X package typically contains:
- Memor 3X PDA (Model SGVNR/SGVNRNA - WAN SKU; Model SGVWF - WLAN SKU)
- Rechargeable one-piece battery pack
- Quick Start Guide
- Safety & Regulatory Addendum
- End User License Agreement (EULA) Sheet
Please check all components for integrity against the packing documents.
CAUTION: Keep the original packaging for use when sending products to the technical assistance center. Damage caused by improper packaging is not covered under warranty.
General View of the Memor 3X
Familiarize yourself with the device's components:
Top View
The top view shows the Power Key and the Data Capture Window.
Front View
The front view displays the Touch Panel Display, Home button, Recent button, and the Charging LED indicator.
Back View
The back view features the Camera, LED Flash, Battery Swap LED, and the SIM Card Socket.
Side View
The side view highlights the Volume Control Buttons, Left Trigger, and Right Trigger.
Bottom View
The bottom view shows the USB Type-C Port.
Battery Installation
To install the battery, insert it into the slot at the bottom first and press it into place.
Rubber Boot Installation
The optional rubber boot provides additional protection. To install, insert the device into the boot from the top. To remove, grip the boot sides with your fingers while pressing the back bottom of the device with your thumbs.
Charging Instructions
The battery pack is not fully charged initially. Charge it using a USB Type-C cable connected to a power adapter or a computer's USB port, or by placing the device in a charging dock (single slot, 4-slot, vehicle, or 4-slot battery charger).
During charging, the charging LED indicator, located at the top right of the display, glows red. Once charging is complete, the LED turns solid green.
CAUTION: Use only the Datalogic power supply (p/n 94ACC0383) for the Memor 3X and its docks. Do not insert foreign objects like coins, paper clips, or stickers into the dock slots. Do not apply stickers to the Memor 3X.
NOTE: The Memor 3X may become warm during charging, which is normal.
Installing SIM and SD Cards
To access the SIM/SD card slots:
- Turn off the Memor 3X or put it in swap battery mode (refer to the User's Manual for details).
- Press the battery latches and remove the battery pack.
- Remove the SIM/SD rubber cover.
Installing the SIM Card
- Slide the cardholder to the left and pull it up.
- Insert the SIM card with the written part upward. Push the cardholder down and then slide it to the right. (SIM card functionality is available only on SGVNR/SGVNRNA models).
Installing the SD Card
- Slide the cardholder to the left and pull it up.
- Insert the SD card into the cardholder as shown. Push the cardholder down and then slide it to the right.
After installation, replace the SIM/SD rubber cover and press it firmly, then re-install the battery.
Scanning and Imaging
To scan a barcode symbol:
- Point the scan window at the barcode from within the reading range.
- Press one of the scan triggers. The imager projects a laser aiming pattern.
- Center the symbol within the aiming pattern. Ensure the entire symbol is within the rectangular area formed by the brackets. Wait for the timeout or release the Scan Key to capture the image. A red beam illuminates the symbol, which is then captured and decoded.
Successful Scan Indicators:
- If enabled, a good read beep sounds.
- If enabled, the GreenSpot projects a green spot directly onto the barcode.
- If enabled, the good read indicator at the top left of the display glows solid green.
