PINTECH N Series Differential Probes
Instruction Manual / 使用说明书
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing PINTECH oscilloscope differential probes. This manual provides essential information for safe and effective operation.
Differential probes offer a safe method for measuring differential voltage with oscilloscopes. They convert high differential voltages into low voltages (≤ 7V) for display on the oscilloscope, with bandwidths up to 200 MHz, making them ideal for high-power testing, development, and maintenance.
The probes are designed to operate with oscilloscopes having a 1 MΩ input impedance. When used with a 50 Ω terminator, the attenuation is doubled.
Applications include research, development, debugging, and maintenance of switching power supplies, frequency converters, electronic ballasts, frequency-conversion appliances, and other electrical power devices.
Safety Precautions
A Warning! Please refer to the user manual before using the instrument. Failure to follow instructions may result in personal injury or damage to equipment.
- Be aware of the risk of electric shock and the maximum input voltage.
- Do not use in humid or explosive environments.
- Ensure the circuit under test is off before connecting the probe.
- After measurement, turn off the circuit under test, then turn off the probe switch.
- Inspect the probe for damage before use; discontinue use if damaged.
- Use only the specified power adapter.

Operating Instructions
- Connect the output BNC interface of the differential probe to the oscilloscope. Adjust the oscilloscope's vertical settings as needed.
- Set the oscilloscope's attenuation rate and vertical scale to match the probe's selected ratio.
- Estimate the voltage to be measured before testing. Exceeding the range may damage the probe.
- Before powering on the probe, set the attenuation ratio switch to the highest setting. Plug in the power adapter and turn on the power switch. The power indicator light will turn green. If the test voltage exceeds the range, the over-range indicator light will turn red.
- Connect the probe hook to the circuit under test to begin measurement.
- After measurement, turn off the circuit under test, then turn off the probe switch. Disconnect the probe hook from the circuit and unplug the BNC connector from the oscilloscope.
Attention:
- Ensure the power is turned on.
- The actual vertical deflection is the probe's attenuation multiplied by the oscilloscope's vertical deflection setting.
- Ensure the BNC terminal is securely grounded when connecting the probe to an oscilloscope or other device.
Using Precautions
To improve high-frequency response and anti-interference capabilities, twist the input cables together as much as possible to minimize lead inductance and external noise. Avoid lengthening the input cable, as this can introduce more noise.
