Getting Started
This guide provides instructions for installing and setting up your devolo Giga Bridge adapters to create a high-speed network at home using existing coax or phone lines.

Important Information Before Installation
The devolo Giga Bridge is designed for use on cleared, exclusively available telephone or coaxial cables. Ensure the lines are free from other connected devices before proceeding with the installation.
Installation Scenarios
The devolo Giga Bridge utilizes G.hn technology to transmit the internet signal over coaxial (TV/SAT) or telephone lines.
Scenario a: Using Phone Lines

Connection Steps:
- Connect the devolo Giga Bridge adapter to a LAN port on your router using the provided network cable.
- Connect the devolo Giga Bridge (using the 'Phone' socket) to the telephone wall socket using the provided telephone cable.
Placement:
- Place additional devolo Giga Bridge adapters in desired rooms.
- Connect the adapter to the wall socket using the telephone cable.
- Connect your end devices (e.g., computers, smart TVs) or Wi-Fi access points to the devolo Giga Bridge adapter using an Ethernet cable.
Scenario b: Using Coaxial Cables

Connection Steps:
- Connect the devolo Giga Bridge adapter to a LAN port on your router using the provided network cable.
- Connect the devolo Giga Bridge (using the 'Coax' socket) to the coaxial wall socket using the provided coaxial cable.
Placement:
- Place additional devolo Giga Bridge adapters in desired rooms.
- Connect the adapter to the wall socket using the coaxial cable.
- Connect your end devices (e.g., computers, smart TVs) or Wi-Fi access points to the devolo Giga Bridge adapter using an Ethernet cable.
Pairing devolo Giga Bridges
Pairing establishes a secure connection between your devolo Giga Bridge adapters.
Pairing Two Adapters (Initial Setup)

- Plug both devolo Giga Bridge adapters into available power sockets. The LEDs on both adapters will flash white.
- Perform the next installation step within 3 minutes.
- Connect the two devolo Giga Bridge adapters to the 'Phone' sockets using the supplied network cable.
- A new devolo Giga Bridge network will be automatically set up (pairing).
- Pairing is complete when both LEDs light up white continuously. You can then remove the network cable.
Pairing Additional Adapters

- Plug the additional adapter into a socket next to an adapter that has already been paired.
- Connect both adapters using the network cable via the 'Phone' socket.
- Within 2 minutes, press the button on the right edge of the already installed adapter.
- The LEDs of both adapters will flash white.
- The new adapter is automatically integrated into the devolo Giga Bridge network. Pairing is complete when both LEDs light up white continuously.
- You can then remove the network cable and plug in the adapters where you want to use them.
G.hn Button and LED Status
The G.hn button and LEDs provide information about the adapter's status.
G.hn Button Actions:
- 1 second press: Start pairing with other devolo Giga Bridge adapters.
- >10 seconds press: Reset devolo adapter to factory settings.
G.hn LED Status:
The devolo Giga Bridge adapter:
- Lights up white: Working perfectly, connected to other adapters.
- Quickly flashes white: Establishing a pairing connection with another adapter.
- Flashes red: Poor G.hn connection.
- Slowly flashes white: In standby mode.
- Alternately flashes white and red: Software update in progress or starting up.
- Lights up white and briefly flashes red: Not connected to the network or cannot see other adapters.
- Lights up red: Adapter is starting up or has a critical error.
- None: LED function disabled by user or adapter is off.
