Dynavin N7-MST2010 PRO/Navos Audio Troubleshooting and Vehicle Wiring Configurations
Unit Connection Guide
Ensure the red circled 4-pin plug on the back of the Dynavin unit (pictured left) is connected and plugged in the correct direction to the 4-pin plug on the main harness labeled "9000". The accompanying image illustrates the proper orientation for connecting these plugs to each other.
Image Description: The top left image shows the rear of the Dynavin N7-MST2010 PRO unit. A red circle highlights a 4-pin plug. The top right image provides a close-up view of hands connecting two 4-pin plugs, demonstrating the correct alignment for a secure connection.
Factory Shaker Audio Wiring
This harness connection is necessary only if your subwoofers are not functioning. Note that your "subwoofer in" RCA connector may be green.
Image Description: This image displays the wire harness specifically for connecting factory Shaker Audio systems to the Dynavin/Navos unit. It shows various wires and RCA connectors. A yellow circle highlights an RCA connector, which is noted as potentially being green and labeled for "subwoofer in".
Factory Base Audio Wiring
Image Description: This image illustrates the wire harness for connecting factory Base Audio systems to the Dynavin/Navos unit. It features RCA connectors and presents a different harness configuration compared to the Shaker Audio setup.
Vehicle Wiring Configurations by Factory Audio Options
Without Shaker Audio (Not Amplified)
Image Description: This diagram outlines the wiring configuration for vehicles equipped without Shaker Audio, meaning the system is not amplified. Key connectors are labeled: "Main Harness", "AMP/SWC Required Plug", "Not Used", and "Connect to Factory Wiring Harness".
With Shaker Audio (Amplified)
Image Description: This diagram details the wiring configuration for vehicles that include Shaker Audio, indicating an amplified system. Labeled connectors include: "Main Harness", "AMP/SWC Required Plug", "Amplifier Output Harness", "Shaker Amplifier Integration Harness", and "Connect to Factory".
Troubleshooting and Amplifier Retention Harness Usage
Vehicles equipped with factory amplifiers might require the use of the provided amplifier retention harness. This harness facilitates a lower-level output from the Dynavin/Navos unit, designed to match the factory amplifier's input. It's important to note that not all vehicles will need this harness; determining its necessity may involve some trial and error to find the optimal setup for your specific car.
Audio Output Level Adjustments:
- If the speaker output level is excessively high, utilize the amplifier retention harness.
- If you encounter low-level static noise, the amplifier retention harness should be used.
- If the audio output is very low, remove the amplifier retention harness and connect the main harness directly to the back of the unit.
- For issues with bass or subwoofer functionality (not hearing bass/subs), connect the included green "Subwoofer Out" RCA cable to the red (or green) "Subwoofer In" RCA port on the main harness (this port is circled in yellow in the Shaker Audio diagram).
Additionally, the Dynavin unit features a "Factory Amplifier" setting within the "Audio" menu. This setting can be enabled and adjusted to precisely fine-tune the output level of the head unit for any given installation.
