Compatibility
Works with energy-efficient dimmable light bulbs:
- LED: up to 150 W
- CFL: up to 150 W
- Halogen: up to 600 W
- Incandescent: up to 600 W

Installation: Lights with One Wall Switch (Single Pole)
Turn Power Off
⚠️ SHOCK HAZARD. Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse before installing.
Remove Existing Switch
Remove the wallplate. Remove the switch and pull it away from the wall. Disconnect all three wires* from the switch.
*If your switch has more than 3 wires, see the video at www.casetawireless.com/3way.
Prepare Dimmer (Remove Side Sections if Necessary)
Bend back and forth to remove side sections. Do not remove outer side sections on dimmers at the end of a gang. Removing side sections reduces the maximum wattage rating.

Connect the Dimmer
- Connect the bare copper (or green) "ground" wire from the wallbox to the green wire on the dimmer using a wire connector. ? [Ground wire]
- Connect one of the remaining wires from the wallbox to one of the remaining wires on the dimmer using a second wire connector.
- Connect the other wire from the wallbox to the remaining wire on the dimmer using a third wire connector.
Mount the Dimmer
Use the provided screws to mount the dimmer.
Attach the Wallplate
Attach the adapter to the dimmer using the screws provided and snap on the wallplate. If installing next to other devices, ensure the wallplate has the correct number and size of openings.
Turn Power On
Turn power back on at the circuit breaker.
⚠️ CAUTION: Use only with permanently installed fixtures with dimmable LED, dimmable CFL, halogen, or incandescent lamps. Do not use to control receptacles, motor-driven appliances, or transformer-supplied appliances.
Codes: Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
Grounding: If no "grounding means" exist in the wallbox, the NEC allows installation if a nonmetallic faceplate is used or the circuit is GFCI protected. If using these methods, cap or remove the green wire before screwing the control into the wallbox.

With a Smartphone or Tablet (Smart Bridge™ Required)
Control your lights from a smartphone or tablet when used with the Lutron® Smart Bridge™. Follow these instructions:
Download the Lutron® App
Search for "Lutron Caseta" on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Launch the Lutron® App
The Lutron® app will guide you through setting up your devices.
Complete Setup
Use the app to add devices (Pico® remotes, dimmers, shades), control lights three ways, schedule lights, and connect remotely.
Without a Smartphone or Tablet (Smart Bridge™ Not Required)
Pairing the Dimmer and Pico® Remote Control
- Press and hold the "off" button on the dimmer for 6 seconds until LEDs start blinking. ▶️ [Start Pairing]
- Press and hold the "off" button on the Pico® remote control for 6 seconds until its lights flash 3 times. ⚡ [Pairing Signal]
- Repeat steps to pair other Pico® remote controls.
Changing the Favorite Light Level on the Pico® Remote Control
Use the round "favorite" button on the Pico® remote control to recall a favorite light level. The default is 50%, but you can change it.
- Set the desired light level on the dimmer.
- Press and hold the "favorite" button on the Pico® remote control for 6 seconds until the dimmer's LEDs blink twice. The new favorite level is now saved. ✔️ [Favorite Saved]
Using Your Controls
In-Wall Dimmer
- On/Off: Press the top or bottom of the paddle.
- Brighter: Press the top of the paddle. ⬆️ [Brighter]
- Darker: Press the bottom of the paddle. ⬇️ [Darker]
- Favorite: Press the center "favorite" button (if configured). ⭐ [Favorite]
Pico® Remote Control
- On: Press the top button.
- Favorite: Press the center button. ⭐ [Favorite]
- Brighter: Press the right side of the top button. ⬆️ [Brighter]
- Darker: Press the left side of the top button. ⬇️ [Darker]
- Off: Press the bottom button.
FASSTM Front Accessible Service Switch: Pull this switch out on the in-wall dimmer to remove power at the light socket for bulb replacement.
Troubleshooting
Symptom | Probable Cause and Action |

Light does not turn on or in-wall dimmer LEDs do not light up. |
