4. Introduction
PAGENETDN is a programmable paging station with two audio outputs: DANTE™/AES67 (digital) and analog (balanced). This allows the device's control functions and microphone signal to be used for paging in conjunction with any EclerNet Matrix, whether it supports DANTE™/AES67 or not: MIMO4040DN, MIMO88, MIMO88SG, and MIMO1212SG.
At the same time, PAGENETDN has the same control functions as the WPNETTOUCH model and can be programmed to control one or more networked EclerNet devices; it can even control a complete installation, i.e., a project where a variety of EclerNet devices work together: digital matrices MIMO4040DN, MIMO88, MIMO88SG, MIMO1212SG, digital audio managers (multifunction amplifiers) of the NXA series, DUO-NET PLAYER, etc. The device is fully programmable via the EclerNet Manager application (*).
(*) For more information, please refer to the EclerNet Manager application manual. The EclerNet Manager application is available for download at www.ecler.com.
The device is supplied as a desktop console, with a gooseneck microphone and a 10" capacitive touchscreen control panel for displaying and managing UCPs for paging functions and for controlling networked EclerNet devices, VEO video devices, and also third-party devices.

Installation and Connections
5. Installation and Connections
5.1. Installation and Cabling
The microphone is included with the device and must be installed in the PAGENETDN console before use.
To do this, carefully insert the microphone into the XLR connector of the console, paying attention to the correct alignment of the connection pins (the Ecler logo on the microphone must be aligned with the back of the device), and push until it clicks. The click indicates that the safety latch of the XLR connector has engaged. Once connected, the microphone is securely attached to the console and can hardly move vertically, ensuring quiet operation and giving the user a sense of high durability.
If it is necessary to remove the microphone from the console, a "Pin" type removal tool must be used. Insert this tool with pressure into the opening on the back of the microphone socket on the console surface. This will release the XLR safety latch, allowing you to pull the microphone out with a firm tug.
Before you can program and use the PAGENETDN, it must be connected to a network via its internal RJ45 ETHERNET interface. This and all other connections can be accessed by unscrewing the lower metal plate of the device (3 screws must be removed).
[Diagram showing internal connections: External PSU Connector, Ethernet Interface, Phantom Power On/Off, HPF On/Off, Aux In L/R, Mic In Gain, Aux In Gain]
The device must then be supplied with DC voltage, either directly via PoE (Power over Ethernet), if available through the Ethernet switch to which the device is connected, or via the supplied external 12V DC 2A power supply (EXTERNAL PSU CONNECTOR).
Additionally, there are 2 more audio connections available:
- AUX IN (L/R): Stereo LINE input, RCA connectors. The incoming signal is converted to mono and sent to the network via DANTE™/AES67 Channel #2. This input can be used to connect an external audio source (e.g., a media player) and feed its signal into the network in DANTE™/AES67 format.
- MIC OUT (ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT): Balanced mono signal (Euroblock). This is a copy of the microphone signal in analog format, which allows for the creation of paging systems in conjunction with devices that do not natively support DANTE™/AES67.
5.2. Audio Settings
The PAGENETDN model features various audio controls in its electronics for adjusting incoming analog audio signals:
- PHANTOM POWER ON / OFF (default = ON): Activates or deactivates phantom power for the microphone's XLR connection when a condenser microphone is used, such as the Ecler eMCN1 model, which is supplied as standard with the PAGENETDN console.
- HPF (High-Pass Filter) ON / OFF (default = ON): Activates or deactivates the high-pass filter (100 Hz @ 12 db/oct) applied to the audio signal picked up by the microphone capsule, to minimize low-frequency and unwanted noise that enters the voice announcements along the audio system.
- MIC IN GAIN (*): Preamplifier gain setting for the incoming microphone signal. Affects both the resulting DANTE™/AES67 CH #1 output and the ANALOG AUDIO (MIC)-OUT signal.
- AUX IN GAIN (LINE GAIN): Preamplifier gain setting for the incoming AUX IN ST-LINE signal, which is subsequently converted to mono and sent to DANTE™/AES67 CH #2.
(*) Note: The XLR microphone connector is suitable for standard XLR microphones like the Ecler eMCN1 included in the delivery, but it cannot accommodate microphones whose base is thicker than the standard XLR size.

Operation
6. Operation
The PAGENETDN console must be carefully integrated into an EclerNet project and correctly configured (regarding DANTE™/AES67 audio routing and/or control functions) so that the UCP paging and control panels available to the end-user are ultimately displayed. Examples:

For more information, please refer to the EclerNet Manager application manual, Chapter PAGENETDN DEVICE.
Local Device Configuration
7. Local Device Configuration
You can access the PAGENETDN settings and configuration menus directly via the device's touchscreen. These menus are identical to those of the WPNETTOUCH control panel, as a WPNETTOUCH is integrated into the PAGENETDN console.
The same settings can also be accessed remotely when the device is controlled from a remote computer running the EclerNet Manager application.
Local access to the configuration menus is achieved by clicking the SETUP icon on the device's start screen:
[Image of the device's start screen showing "User Control Panels" with different UCPs like "UDP/TCP Control", "M4040DN Paging", "Paging consoles", "CONF_ROOM", and navigation arrows]
The following configuration menus are available:

7.1. Configuration Menu for the Display
[Image of the "Screen Configuration" menu with options for Display Mode, Backlight Intensity, Auto-Zoom Panels, Show Panel OSD Buttons, Scroll by OSD Buttons, Scroll by Swipe]
This menu allows you to adjust various parameters that affect the displayed elements and the device's display controls:
- Display mode: Display dimming in standby mode, after 10 seconds of no user activity on the touchscreen. The following display modes are available: ON (always lit), DIMMED, and OFF (unlit).
- Backlight Intensity: Brightness of the display when it is not in standby mode.
- Auto-Zoom Panels: When activated, the size of the graphical control panels (UCPs) is automatically adjusted to the maximum visible area, regardless of the resolution for which they were originally created in the EclerNet Manager project file.
- Show Panel OSD Buttons: Activates/deactivates the overlay display of navigation buttons in the corners of the displayed UCPs. The buttons at the top are used for scrolling through the panel pages (left and right), while the buttons at the bottom access the toolbar:
[Image showing a "PRESET SELECTOR" interface with navigation buttons and a toolbar]
Note: Even if these buttons are not visible, they may still be active, so pressing the top corners activates horizontal scrolling through the panel pages, and pressing the bottom corners displays the toolbar. This aspect must be considered when designing individual UCP pages regarding the placement of controls (buttons, sliders, knobs, etc.). The top corners should remain as clear as possible if the OSD buttons are to be used for scrolling between pages, and the bottom corners (toolbar display) must always remain clear.
- Scroll by OSD Buttons: Activates/deactivates scrolling through pages by pressing the top corners, even if the OSD buttons are not visible.
- Scroll by Swipe: Activates/deactivates scrolling through pages by swiping left or right (press and drag) on the display.
The toolbar displays new access to horizontal scrolling through panel pages (left and right), access to the device's home screen ( "HOME" icon), and the icon to exit the toolbar ("X"):
[Image showing the toolbar with "HOME" and "X" icons, and page navigation information]
7.2. Configuration Menu for the Device
[Image of the "Device Configuration" menu with fields for Device Name, Device Password, and Enable UCP Server]
This menu allows you to set the following device parameters:
- Device Name: The name of the device as it appears on other WPNETTOUCH-/WPmSCREEN devices and in the EclerNet Manager application.
- Device Password: Password to protect the device against modification of its basic configuration parameters. It is requested upon activation (activated = password field cannot be empty).
- Enable UCP Server: Activates/deactivates the device's integrated UCP server service.
- Enabled: The EclerNet project stored on the device ("Local Project") is fully functional, takes control of the associated hardware elements (MIMO4040DN, MIMO88, NXA, etc.), and makes the included UCP control panels available to potential UCP clients on the network.
- Disabled: The local EclerNet project is deactivated, and control over the associated hardware elements (MIMO4040DN, MIMO88, NXA, etc.) is released, thus no UCPs are made available to clients.
Note: When disabled, another device or PC running a project that includes all or some of the hardware components present in the WPNETTOUCH's local project could take control of these hardware components. Only one device/project can control a hardware element at a time, meaning that before attempting to control hardware elements from another device, they must each be released:
- From the EclerNet Manager application, controlled devices can be released by creating a new project (File -> New Project) or by disconnecting each individual device from the network (right-click -> Disconnect).
- From a WPNETTOUCH / WPmSCREEN, the devices controlled by it can be released by switching the "Enable UCP Server" option to "NO".
7.3. Network Configuration Menu
[Image of the "Network Configuration" menu with fields for IP Address, Network Mask, and Gateway, along with a numerical keypad]
In this menu, the following network connection parameters of the WPNETTOUCH can be changed: IP address, network mask, and gateway.
Note: Neither the WPNETTOUCH nor any other EclerNet device supports the IP address dynamic assignment protocol (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol or DHCP), so a manual assignment of static addresses is always required.

[Image of the "User Control Panels" screen with navigation arrows and a settings icon]
[Image of the "Connect to..." screen with a server address input field and a keyboard]
On this page, you can select the UCP server to which the device should connect as a client. A UCP server can be a computer or a matrix MIMO4040DN (in fact, it has a UCP server integrated into its processor!), another WPNETTOUCH / WPmSCREEN, or even the PAGENETDN / WPNETTOUCH itself. In any case, the UCP server hosts an EclerNet Manager project and executes it, and this project contains a series of UCPs that can be controlled remotely by any UCP client.
The IP address of the server device can be entered directly using the keyboard displayed on the screen, or you can select it from a list of possible, automatically detected server devices. Access to this list is made by clicking the gray button with the list icon to the right of the "Connect to..." button:
[Image of the "Server list" showing detected servers and scroll arrows]
Note: On the list of detected server devices, the name of the WPNETTOUCH device under control appears in green (the device that matches the local IP address).
After selecting a server device or IP address, the selection is confirmed by clicking the "Connect to..." button, and the connection to the server is established. Upon successful connection, the UCPs provided by the server to the WPNETTOUCH client are displayed on the screen:
