Thank you for purchasing the Logitech X-530 speaker system. These speakers are easy to set up and use, producing high-quality sound. For more Logitech products or support, visit www.logitech.com.
Setup and Installation
Important: For your safety, set up the system before plugging it into a power source.
Speaker Placement
Position the two front satellite speakers on either side of your computer monitor, angled towards you. Place the right front speaker within easy reach as it's the control center. Position the rear left and right satellite speakers behind you, equidistant from you as the front speakers. Place the front center channel speaker on top of your monitor or desk between the monitor and keyboard. Adjust speaker stands to direct sound.
For best sound quality, place the subwoofer on the floor beneath your desk, ensuring at least 6 inches (15 cm) of spacing around it for adequate ventilation.
Connecting the Speakers
Diagram Description: The system includes a subwoofer, front left, front right, rear left, rear right, and front center speakers. Connections are color-coded.
- Insert the colored plugs from each satellite speaker into the corresponding colored jacks on the back of the subwoofer.
- Connect the d-sub plug from the front right speaker to the subwoofer. Align pins carefully and screw down the connector.
Connecting to Your Audio Source
- For PC with a 6, 7, or 8-channel sound card (5.1, 6.1, 7.1): Connect the three colored plugs (green, black, orange) from the audio input cable to the color-coded jacks on your sound card. If jacks are not color-coded, connect as follows: Green to front L/R, Black to rear L/R, Orange to center/sub.
- For PC with a 4-channel sound card: Connect the green plug to the front jack and the black plug to the rear jack. Do not use the orange plug.
- For PC with a 2-channel sound card: Connect the green plug to the "line out" jack. Do not use black or orange plugs. Note: With a 2-channel card, rear speakers will not produce sound.
- For Video Game Consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, GameCube): Connect the green, black, and orange plugs from the audio input cable to the three stereo mini jacks on the video game adapter. Connect the red and white RCA audio cables from your console to the RCA audio jacks on the adapter.
