Important Safety Precautions

WARNING: This Quick Reference Guide is not a substitute for the Operator's Manual. Read and understand the Operator's Manual before operating the generator to reduce the risk of injury or death.

Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, an invisible and odorless poison. Using a generator indoors can kill you in minutes.

• NEVER use the generator inside a home, garage, basement, or any enclosed area, even if doors and windows are open.
• Always operate the generator OUTSIDE in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents.

WARNING: Do not overload the generator or electrical cords. Refer to the Operator's Manual for load capacity.

1. Add Lubricant and Fuel

Add Engine Oil

Use a funnel to pour the provided engine oil into the engine. Fill to the upper mark indicated on the oil dipstick (H).

Add Fuel

Use clean, fresh, regular UNLEADED gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Fill the fuel tank up to the red line indicator. Ensure the fuel cap is securely fastened.

2. Start the Generator

Move the generator outdoors to a flat, level surface, ensuring it is away from doors, windows, and ventilation openings.

Starting with Gasoline

1. Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the "ON" position.
2. Turn the engine switch to the "ON" (I) position.
3. Pull the choke knob out to the "START" position.
4. Turn the fuel source switch to the gasoline position.
5. Pull the cord starter to start the engine.
6. Once the engine starts and warms up, push the choke knob in to the "RUN" position.
7. Connect electrical loads using only grounded extension cords.

Starting with Propane/LPG

1. Ensure the propane tank valve is fully closed.
2. Turn the fuel source switch to the propane/LPG position.
3. Turn the engine switch to the "ON" (I) position.
4. Locate the propane/LPG priming button on the propane hose. Press this button 3-5 times to prime the engine.
5. Pull the cord starter to start the engine.
6. Once the engine starts and warms up, push the choke knob in to the "RUN" position.
7. Connect electrical loads using only grounded extension cords.

3. Shutdown and Storage

1. Remove all electrical loads from the generator.
2. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" (O) position.
3. Turn the propane/LPG cylinder knob to the closed position.
4. Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the "OFF" position.

For storage exceeding 30 days, consult the Operator's Manual for detailed instructions.

4. Changing Fuels

1. Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
2. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" (O) position.

Switching from Gasoline to Propane/LPG

1. Turn the fuel source switch to the propane/LPG position.
2. Start the generator engine.

Switching from Propane/LPG to Gasoline

1. Ensure the propane tank valve is fully closed.
2. Turn the fuel source switch to the gasoline position.
3. Start the generator engine.
