Important Information - Read First ❗
Precautions
Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures. ?️
While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch. ⚠️
Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap. ✋
For cleaning the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth ? or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution ?. Never use volatile agents such as gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners. ??
When not in use, store the watch in a dry place. ?
Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these substances can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish. ?
Some watch straps feature silk-screened designs. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If you notice a dim display, replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO distributor. ? ? ?️
Water Protection ?
Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V). Check your watch's rating to ensure correct usage.
General Rules for Water Use:
- Do not press buttons underwater ❌
- Do not set hands underwater ❌
- Do not unscrew the crown underwater ❌
Care After Exposure to Water:
- If exposed to saltwater, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. ?
- Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water. ??
Water Resistance Ratings Table:
Rating | Marking | Splashes, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Short-term Immersion | Diving, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | (No Marking) | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes on Ratings:
- II WR (Water Resistant): Indicates water resistance according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water is acceptable.
- III (5 Bar / 50 Meters): Suitable for showering and short-term swimming.
- IV (10 Bar / 100 Meters): Suitable for normal swimming and snorkeling.
- V (20 Bar / 200 Meters): Suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
Care for Specific Materials
Plastic Straps
A white powdery substance may appear on plastic straps. This is harmless and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Sweat, moisture, or high humidity can damage plastic straps. Wipe them clean with a soft cloth regularly to ensure longevity. ☁️
Fluorescent Cases and Straps ✨
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight ☀️ or moisture ? can cause gradual fading of fluorescent colors. Wipe off any moisture immediately. Contact with other wet surfaces may also cause discoloration. Ensure fluorescent surfaces are dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
General Notes
Strong friction on surfaces with applied fluorescent paint can transfer the paint to the other surface. ?
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not liable for any damage arising from the use of this watch, nor does it accept claims from third parties. ⚖️
Condensation may form on the inside of the glass due to sharp temperature changes ?️. This is a normal phenomenon due to the laws of physics and not a defect. ?
