1.8 Replacement and Disposal
Battery Disposal
The battery contained in this appliance must be removed and disposed of. When replacing the battery, use only an original battery available from KingSmith's online parts store.
The battery compartment is located on the back of the appliance. Open the compartment by removing the screw in the cover with a suitable screwdriver, then press the bottom end of the locking clip on the connectors. Both sides of the connector can be separated by pulling them apart.
When inserting a new battery, push both connectors together and ensure the latch clicks into place.
Never dispose of empty batteries with household waste; instead, use appropriate public collection points. This also applies to batteries from defective devices.
Devices marked with the WEEE symbol (crossed-out wheeled bin) must be disposed of separately from household waste, as they contain valuable materials that can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Local authorities or retailers can provide information on this.
