If the clamp is not in place, slide it over the elbow end of the drain hose. Squeeze the clamp with pliers and slide the black elbow end onto the black drain port, securing it with the clamp. For laundry tub or standpipe drains, proceed to step 6. For floor drains, remove the drain hose form (see step 7).
6. Place Drain Hose in Standpipe
Diagram Description: Shows the drain hose form inserted into a standpipe, with a dimension of 4.5" (114 mm).
Place the hose into the standpipe or over the side of a laundry tub. IMPORTANT: No more than 4.5" (114 mm) of the drain hose should be inside the standpipe. Do not force excess hose into the standpipe or lay it on the bottom of the tub. The drain hose form must be used.
7. Remove Drain Hose Form (Floor Drain Installations Only)
For floor drain installations, remove the drain hose form from the end of the drain hose. Additional parts or instructions may be needed.
Connecting the Inlet Hoses
Use new inlet hoses with flat washers. Do not use old hoses. Both hoses must be attached, and water must flow to the inlet valves. Use a Y-adapter if connecting only to a cold water faucet.
8. Connect Inlet Hoses to Water Faucets
