Product Overview

The LoopTone DS-R08 is a retro-styled radio designed to evoke a vintage aesthetic while offering modern functionality. It features a wooden casing, a prominent circular dial for tuning, and multiple control knobs for operation.

Front View

The front of the radio includes the following components:

  • 1. AM/FM scale: The frequency display dial.
  • 2. AM/FM pointer: The needle that indicates the selected frequency on the scale.
  • 3. TUNING knob: Used to select radio stations.
  • 4. Speaker Grill: The front mesh covering the speaker.
  • 5. OFF/ Volume control: A knob to turn the unit on/off and adjust the volume.
  • 6. Power Indicator: An LED light that shows the power status.
  • 7. Adjustable tone control knob: Allows adjustment of bass and treble.
  • 8. AM/FM/BT selector: A switch or knob to select between AM radio, FM radio, and Bluetooth modes.

Rear View

The rear of the radio includes:

  • 9. FM Antenna: An extendable antenna for improved FM reception.
  • 10. AC power cord: A cord for plugging the unit into a wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Listening To FM Radio

  1. Turn the Unit on by rotating the AM/FM/BT selector to select FM.
  2. Rotate the Volume Knob to adjust your desired volume level.
  3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired station.
  4. Adjust the FM Antenna position to get the best receiving effect.

Listening To AM Radio

  1. Turn the Unit on by rotating the AM/FM/BT selector to select AM.
  2. Rotate the Volume Knob to adjust your desired volume level.
  3. Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired station.

Listening To External Audio Devices (Bluetooth Mode)

In Bluetooth Mode, this unit can play music from external devices that are Bluetooth Compatible.

Getting Connected Using Bluetooth

  1. Turn the Unit on by rotating the AM/FM/BT selector to select BT.
  2. Rotate the Volume Knob to adjust your desired volume level.
  3. Ensure the Bluetooth function is enabled on your external device.
  4. Open Bluetooth settings on your external device.
  5. Note: The effective distance between your external device and this unit is 10 meters.
  6. Wait a few seconds for "Loop Tone" or "VRS-2800" to appear on the device list of your external device's Bluetooth settings. Select either "Loop Tone" or "VRS-2800". If your device asks for a password, enter "0000" then press "OK".
  7. When the Bluetooth connection is established successfully, you will hear audible beeping and the LED light will be stable flashing.
  8. Start playback through your external device.

Tone Control

Turn the Tone control knob to adjust your desired tune – Treble or Bass.
