Introduction
Before using your machine for the first time, please read the "IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS" in the Operation Manual. Refer to the Operation Manual for detailed instructions. In this guide, English screens are used for basic explanations. For details on the built-in embroidery patterns, refer to the Embroidery Design Guide.
Wireless Network Connection Functions
This section details how to connect your Brother 888-P10 sewing and embroidery machine to a wireless network.
Operations available with a wireless network connection
You can wirelessly transfer embroidery patterns from your computer to the machine using the dedicated Windows application (Design Database Transfer). You can also transfer embroidery patterns edited on the machine back to PE-DESIGN software (version 11 or later).
When an updated version of the software is available on our website, the wireless LAN key appears as ?.
When you first turn on the machine, a message about a wireless LAN connection appears. To set up a connection, touch the screen and then continue with the setup steps.

Step 1: Find your security information (SSID and network key) and note it down.
Step 2: Touch the [arrow symbol] next to the SSID that was noted in step 1. If displaying next or previous pages, touch the [left arrow] or [right arrow] key to search for the SSID.
Step 3: Enter the network key (password) that was noted, and then touch [OK button].
Step 4: Touch [OK button] to exit the setup.
Winding/Installing the Bobbin
Follow the steps below in numerical order. Refer to the Operation Manual for detailed instructions.
Use the plastic bobbin that comes with this machine or bobbins of the same type.
