Analogue Paddle Modes
With the Podium Advanced Paddle Module (PAPM), you gain four extra digital buttons and two analogue axes. Select the mode for these axes using the paddle mode switch (positions A-D):
- A: Clutch bite point. Both paddles act as clutch controls; the further pressed paddle is primary.
- B: Clutch + Handbrake. Left paddle is clutch, right paddle is handbrake.
- C: Brake + Throttle. Left paddle is brake, right paddle is throttle.
- D: Mappable analogue axes. Paddles function as two additional axes, shared with the joystick.
Clutch Bite Point Modes
The clutch bite point feature can be operated in two ways, with the paddle mode switch set to position A:
Simplified Mode:
- Press both clutch paddles simultaneously to 5% or more to activate. Move both paddles up to 100%.
- Release one paddle while keeping the other fully pressed. The display shows the percentage value of the released paddle.
- Set the released paddle to the percentage where the car's clutch starts to bite (evaluate via test drives).
- At race start, release the fully pressed paddle as virtual start lights turn green for immediate clutch engagement at the bite point. Release the other paddle at the correct speed for optimal launch acceleration.
Advanced Mode:
- Pull both analogue paddles simultaneously to maximum and hold; display shows 100%.
- Press the FunkySwitch™ down to lower the percentage to the desired bite point (evaluate via test drives).
- Release the paddles to set and store the value. Individual values can be stored for each Tuning Menu slot (S1-S5).
- At race start, pull both paddles again to activate bite point mode. Release one paddle, and the clutch engages at the bite point. Release the other paddle at the correct speed for optimal launch acceleration.
