Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare Luminaire Body
Attach a mounting bracket to the main body of the luminaire. This involves inserting a screw and tightening it.
Diagram shows a screw being inserted into a bracket, which is then attached to the luminaire body.
Step 2: Mount to Surface
Insert a wall plug (1) into a pre-drilled hole in the mounting surface. Then, attach the luminaire body (2) to the wall plug using a screw.
Diagram shows a wall plug being inserted into a hole, followed by the luminaire body being screwed onto it.
Step 3: Access Electrical Compartment
Open the electrical compartment of the luminaire. This typically involves releasing a latch or cover.
Diagram shows the luminaire body with a cover being opened to reveal the internal wiring and driver compartment.
Step 4: Connect Power Cable
Connect the power cable (HO5RN-F U-1000 R2V) to the terminal block inside the electrical compartment. The cable has conductors labeled L (Line), N (Neutral), and E (Earth).
Diagram shows a cable with L, N, E markings being connected to a terminal block.
Step 5: Connect Driver/Module
Connect the internal wiring of the luminaire to the driver or control module. The diagram shows three connection options: ON/OFF (HF), BP (Ballast Push), and DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface). Each option has specific terminals for L, N, E, and control signals (e.g., DA/N, DA/L).
Diagram illustrates three distinct wiring configurations for controlling the luminaire: basic ON/OFF, a ballast interface (BP), and a DALI system. Terminals for Line, Neutral, Earth, and control signals are shown for each.
Step 6: Install Driver/Module
Insert the connected driver or control module into its designated space within the luminaire body.
Diagram shows the driver/module being placed into the luminaire housing.
Step 7: Close Compartment
Close and secure the electrical compartment cover.
Diagram shows the electrical compartment cover being closed.
Step 8: Final Assembly and Cable Length
Insert the light tube into the luminaire body. The diagram also specifies cable length (L) requirements for different luminaire sizes: 1200mm luminaires require 700mm < L < 1000mm, and 1500mm luminaires require 900mm < L < 1200mm. It shows two mounting points ([Ø6mm]) for securing the luminaire.
Diagram shows the light tube being fitted into the luminaire. It also provides guidelines for the length of the power cable (L) relative to the luminaire length, with specific ranges for 1200mm and 1500mm models. Two mounting holes ([Ø6mm]) are indicated.
